Gary's a stand up guy. He does what he does for the love of the game not to feed his own ego which is more than can be said for a lot of the programs around here.

I agree. Gary is a good guy. People bitched about the spartans when Victor was there, but now that he is why all the hate? It's just a guy that put a team of under privileged guys together to give some of them a chance to keep playing the game they love at a high level. Some have even moved on to greener pastures because of Gary's efforts. THe academy is good for skills and game speed decision improvement. Now that Victor is gone no one has any good reason not to give it a try. It's just one night a week, so you can play for your club team and get some extra training.

We are MLS champions, and Timbers have their coaching tentaticles throughout. Say what you will. We still have the very top team in the United States, and the coaches that come with it.

Actually the MLS is the highest league that the U.S. has. Congratulations to the Portland Timbers for having the top soccer club in the country!
