OYSA Winter League is a JOKE!

Very best teams are getting thumped hard by a Thorns Academy team that couldn't finish better than 4th in FWRL playing 2nd and 3rd tier teams. How low is the quality of OYSA? So low that it's indistinguishable from Rec!

Nice comeback. Seems you've got nothing to counter the fact that the OYSA Winter Rec League is extremely low quality.

My counter is that you are wrong. Oysa is 100x better than OPL on boys side, and slightly better on girls side.

          Deal with it.

Dream on. Top boys teams in OYSA are from OPL clubs. Top girls teams in OYSA can't come close to beating OPL "B" teams let alone their "A" teams.

Those who made the deal with the Timbers devil have lost the bet. Deal with it.

And all but one age group are the ECNL teams from Portland higher than 3rd place in an abysmal NWCL. NWCL has many division 2 RCL teams in it and a few teams from some rec league in Seattle. What would be happening if the top RCL teams were in NWCL? At least those teams play in FWRL. The schedule for the Portland ECNL teams has been nothing short of a complete joke. The poor players and parents who thought that they were getting an "elite" experience.

NWCL has Washington ECNL teams which are much stronger than RCL1 teams, and much much stronger than anything OYSA or the Timbers have produced. Deal with your joke of a team, club, league, and god (GW).

OPL teams will never compete in FarWest Regional Championship which will never get to US Youth Nationals so basically you are cutting yourself short from the get go. Compete in Oregon State Cup, prove you all are high and mighty vs. BS coming out of your mouths already!
OPL teams will never get respect until they are proven otherwise.

OPL teams, on the girls side, are in the ECNL. No need for Oregon state cup and US Regionals. It's not about team glory, it's about player development and getting some of them into top colleges. Of course, typical TA mentality is "team first" and "win at all costs" because that's all they have. Win in the little Oregon pond and puff out their chests like they are something while everybody else laughs at them.

Again OPL will never get respect. FarWest Regional Championships play ECNL teams, National Champs and a slew of college scouts and coaches are always present. Its a respect to get to these stages vs. play your way into a tournament. Its not even an invite.

If OPL teams and players are willing to pursue soccer after HS/Club than why short change your player's opportunity to showcase in front of a Regional or National Championships in front of these scouts and college coaches. All these spectators to see how your player break or persevere under pressure in something that can put in their soccer resume.

So is that why the OYSA teams play a much more difficult slate in FWRL and the OPL teams play a watered down NWCL? And keep us posted when ECNL is the reason for any girl getting into a top college. Please let us know.

80%+ of all D1 college recruits come from ECNL teams. 0% come from Timbers Alliance teams. Fact. Deal with it.

again, its not the club D1 coache recuits come see, its come see player. If your ENCL, OPL team didnt even compete in a regional or national championship because they choose not to compete and rather pay their way to a showcase then that tells that recruit how poor of a choice one wants to be recognized. You are only short changing your player's opportunities.
As far as the girls side in '14 FWRC, 2 champs out of the 7 age brackets are ECNL team.
Sad that Oregon ENCL teams dont even want to compete.

It will get better. OYSA still hasn't really gotten going after the split.
