You might want to check those numbers.

You are only short changing your player's opportunities.
As far as the girls side in '14 FWRC, 2 champs out of the 7 age brackets are ECNL team.
Sad that Oregon ENCL teams dont even want to compete.
Again, 80%+ and climbing of D1 recruits come from ECNL teams. Play in OYSA and FWRL all you want, it isn't likely to do your DD much good anymore.

I looked at the current Santa Clara Women's roster and their resume. There was a mixture of ECNL and non-ECNL clubs but the most common thing was the ECNL teams that they played for noted playing in FarWest Regional Championships and National Championships.

O.K. so what you are saying is being on an all star team and only finishing in 4th place in your flight in FWRL (Not in a championship or anything, simply applying and paying your entrance fee) will not really help you get noticed by a quality college.

                I gotcha.

Still not sure why you would mention Santa Clara. There are rec. team near there that would smack around Oregon teams. There's just more quality down there.

No, I'm sure Santa Clara sent a scout to the Thorns matches in FWRL.

If they did, he/she didn't stay long. Decided the time was better spent watching some ECNL matches.

                      Truth

You ECNL parents need to figure out really quick if you are going to run your name into the ground before it starts simply by trying to deflect REAL issues with what was said was going to happen and what is NOW happening. Or are you going to be critical?

If you go the first you are already alienating yourselves from others joining as you do not look smart by defending broken promises and propaganda built up by you and your coaches by deflecting.

If you go with the second, you better start asking the right questions of your coaches and clubs so that maybe ECNL will be a VIABLE option in the future because right now all it looks like is a bunch of lying and crazy parents defending the lack of competition, how shockingly poor the teams turned out, and the questionable development decisions being made to save money.

Please by all means deflect but one thing is for sure, you are stuck holding a bag and the bag isn't full of good things. You are starting to smell like it.

Then they found the ECNL teams playing Salmon Creeks select team and B and C level teams from Washington and realized they were much better suited watching better players back at the Thorns.

If you don't like the concept of ECNL, don't get involved. Stay at your Alliance "B" team and continue your meaningless life. It's OK. Really.

Really? Come on, I don't care which side of the stupid split you are on try to have a little class. It is amazing how many of the statements on here are 80% or more the kind of BS above and then the posters argue about whether they were refuted or not. Really, really pathetic.

About as pathetic as your post I suppose. Or as pathetic as the average TA lemming's life. Whatever, makes no difference. Losers are losers and TA lemmings are losers.

You did not read the whole post. The point was Santa Clara had ECNL and non-ECNL teams listed on players' resume and the commonality were these players played in the FarWest Regional Championship, Region IV or participated in USYSA Nationals.
Oregon ECNL teams are not even stepping to the plate so the opportunity to even achieve this is mute, which is just SAD.
