The difficulties are not based on the use of home grown talent.
I am fairly certain that Bella had several offers that were attractive. Some people think that an offer at OSU or UO is for second tier players and they are wrong. Many of these kids received multiple PAC 12 and even other conference offers. The fact that they want to go to college close to home is indicative of their ties to their family or maybe even a tradition at the school. There is nothing wrong with that. Not everyone wants to move to the East Coast and not everyone is wired to go to Stanford even when they may have a perfect grade point with honors classes.

Let me guess mostly home grown 'talent'.

When there are sites that list the recruits, why are people so lazy that they can't look it up on their own?

True, actually none. We played against two of the girls who are going there. They are both from California. And they already have one committ for their 2017 class. Where are the Onyx girls with their offers?

Why would Onyx dad care? No Onyx players recruited to Oregon. Love the stupidity of some of the people on this site.

No Onyx girls recruited to any D1.

If at least a handful of Onyx players don't go D1, there isn't much hope for the rest of Oregon "talent". We live in our little pond and tend to think our best are also the best in the nation. Rarely the case but it happens enough (Onyx) that it keeps the dream alive. I'm always surprised by the number of Oregon GU11-U13 parents who think their kids have a seriously great shot at a full ride to Stanford & then off to the USWNT. "She's only 11 and she's doing great at the US Training Center trainings. We've got her in private trainings, she does every camp & she's the best player on her OYSA/OPL team! She plays just like Alex Morgan! Our family lives soccer but it's totally worth it! We will spend every last cent & minute of time to ensure her dream of World Cup gold!" Everyone thinks their kid is the exception to the rule. It keeps the dream alive & money flowing into the clubs.

I love to see the talented girls from our state go onto college & play successfully in college.

The fact that people hate on Onyx girls or any girl from any club is embarrassing & has a bit of a creepy factor to it.

We don't have a mass of talent but we do have talent & not every talented player at Stanford or UCLA is a Mia Hamm, so please don't come back & spew more ridiculous comments about how talented players from Oregon aren't this or that.

The girls who go onto be successful deserve respect, heck all these girls who spend the amount of time training, playing, going to high school, traveling, get good grades deserve respect.

I doubt it. Top girls across this age group have spots already. HS ruins Oregon. Cali girls were playing in front of coaches all fall and have or will be getting offers. Our girls are four months behind them.

Just wondering how many college coaches in the midst of their season are going out & watching girls play? Aren't they a bit busy to be showing up to recruit?

There may be less exposure during August-November than you are implying.

You are really new to this aren't you. Every top school has 2-5 commits already.
