The ** Club Name ** staff believes that each player should compete with and against players of the same age and grade, with rare exceptions. The club believes that playing in the appropriate age group is most important for the development of the individual player both on and off the field.
If a player wishes to “play up” in order to stay in a team with their school classmates, they may try out with that age group.
If a player wishes to “play up” one age group for the skill challenge, they must be capable of making and competing with the Red (first) team in the age group above to be considered.
Players who wish to “play up” one age group for the skill challenge should plan to tryout on the first night of tryouts with their actual age group, and attend the older age group tryout on the second night.
It is important in these situations that the player’s birthdate and other information are accurately entered into the registration system at the start of the process, no exceptions. The club recognizes there are a number of unique circumstances at play, but these guidelines have been established to provide some direction in these situation
