Ecnl cArsalesman are trying to pull that because they need your kid and money. There are better players from non ecnl teams in wa and all over who know you don't need to spend 32k to play soccer if you want to get to a top school.

Coaches go everywhere and skip over the broke kid on an ecnl team who's parents are trying to buy a scholarship and get the good player from x club because they are good . Weird concept I know....

Someone said FC had the best coaches... I just looked them up and all I can find is articles about two former coaches messing with players.

So my question is, why would anyone say they have the best coaches and when was the last time they vetted them.

No one said that you needed to be on an ECNL team to get a scholarship, if they did that's just crazy talk. You do get alot more exposure and better competition.

That is odd, because the best female soccer players in Washington all play for ECNL teams. Huh...........

No one is saying that the only way to get a scholarship offer is the ECNL but you are so persistent in your effort to discourage people from considering the possibility I have to point out that NON-ECNL players are going to spend $5K per year for the same years as the ECNL player is going to spend up to $7,500.

So to be TRUTHFUL you should be saying that a player does not have to pay an additional $12,500 over the same period 5 year period. But expecting you to be honest is like praying for snow in July...you can try but it ain't gonna happen.

Additionally, asking you to give ECNL credit for improving the play of those who participate is asking too much. As is asking you to acknowledge that MORE local players are going to be seen by MORE college coaches from a WIDER geographic selections is beyond your ability to process and accept.

Not ONE person in the many ECNL threads has said that the current system does not produce results. What those who advocate for ECNL participation ARE saying is that the MAJORITY of participants will improve their game over the status quo and that improvement will be seen by many more college coaches than the status quo which will produce DIFFERENT results than the status quo.

There is no argument that the best of our local players are going to reap the rewards they deserve but what you can't or won't acknowledge is that many of our local players have untapped potential that participation in the ECNL can unlock. Once unlocked that potential can be rewarded like our super stars.

UoP signed letters of intent with six girls for next year. Two are from Oregon (THUSC and FCP). The other four are from:

                    1) Sporting Blue Valley Club ECNL - Kansas
                    2) Crossfire ECNL - WA
                    3) Crossfire ECNL - WA
                    4) Real Colorado ECNL - CO

Setting scholarship money aside...ECNL seems to be a pretty good avenue for girls to showcase their abilities, especially if they want to go to a college out-of-state.

Untapped? Of course you can't acknowledge that becUse it's the stupidest thing anyone has said on here. You are a salesman if I ever heard one. Do you ever get tired of spewing bs or are you not able to tell anymore. Ecnl can't unlock anything besides your crazy side and wallet. Its crazy how dumb you are for knowing so very little.

We get it. Your u15 kid needs this to be successful or at least keep playing soccer. But don't confuse your dire situation with others who think you are a looney toon and don't want to carpool with you.

It's the same clubs getting the same kids. Now they are just paying more to get there.

The critical thinking abilities of the ecnl morons is astounding. How did they ever get this far?

Other then a couple of well known tourneys, how else is someone going to get seen out of the state? Most of the parents of girls on this site are on teams that will not come close to getting into Mustang, Surf, etc. College coaches are not making trips to H.S. games or the 'Rash at the border' and they are not making trips to Oregon in general.

My kid didn't play ecnl and I would say the school they are going to is a better or even with UP.

We didn't pay 32k over 4 years. We didn't even spend 16k. My kid just was on a decent club team and spent her time not on it, training with her team or another one in the club. It only took 2 showcases at u16 to finalize by u17. Sure ecnl would be fun but don't anyone tell you that is makes you a better player than non ecnl or a better chance.

Once you get to u17 and you can't be bs anymore by other parents or even coaches, you'll understand its all a big rat race and just as much as odp isn't the most important thing, at some point people think this is now.

Good luck to the people doing both and quit trying to sell people either way.

There are some really bad ecnl teams clubs and players including the one here that falls behind the other. Didn't seem to untapped jack from those kids and players.

I think people are right. Too man ecnl salesman willing to say dumb stuff to hopefully get enough kids to play. I suppose when it costs so much, you have to get people to see beyond logic.

Sad people. Go sell avon makeup instead.
