Which is more than thusc has over the last 5 years with the exception of this year and the Neon team from about 5 years ago. Isn't this the first year since Neon that thusc has placed any girl in college? Did thusc even had a u18 girls team between Neon and Sodium?

Over the last three seasons WST has placed over 20 girls onto college teams which seems to be more than "1 or 2".

I don't know if "proven" is the right word. That would mean that it is always the case. I suspect that it is more of a "theory" than a "proof" at this point.

So the fact that Spain, Germany and Holland (using the club examples of a previous poster) have been at/near the top of world soccer in the past decade or more isn't proof? How is the USA doing in comparison producing world class players for the USMNT in the past 10 years or more?

Uhhm what? That link has nothing to do with this discussion at all and does not provide any insight into whether or not an Oregon club gets ECNL.

For whatever it's worth I don't imagine an Oregon club will get ECNL because nothing ever changes around here, we are forever stuck in 1985 when it comes to youth soccer.

5 girls played for WST through 2012. Another was 2011.

There are also 2 THUSC Players on this team.

Look for them at the Thorns home opener at half time on April 26.

WST is a joke? That seems odd since their U16 Copa team has 7-8 girls getting long looks from D1 and another three or four that are getting looks from D2 and below. And those numbers could go up. What a joke alright.

Getting looked at by D1 schools doesn't = a scholarship or a spot on a roster. This is a decent team from OR, but see out the process and then get back later on final count of D1 or D2 players.
