There is a possibility a couple club teams in Oregon will be in ECNL next year. I know some girls that are u16 and are playing ecnl with a Washington team! I hope we get some Oregon clubs or a club in. There are too many clubs in Oregon. All the good players need to concentrate in one or two clubs so we can compete out of state and ECNL could do that for us. Not trying to insult others just want to discuss! I'd love to hear other opinions just no haters of any kind please!

I have heard absolutely nothing.
My opinion is that it couldn't happen soon enough. I believe that with consolidated talent Oregon could field a competent ECNL team.

The other problem as I see it initially is that obviously one club would probably receive the nod. Will those staunch supporters of their "other" club break ranks and move right away ?
Not to start a war here, but lets say that Crossfire gets the nod.
If a whole team did move and some of the players werent accepted (cause of other individual talent also auditioning that make it), would it put the balance of the players in a tail spin. What effect would that have on the "Other" clubs towards Crossfire ??
I see the ECNL transition happening slowly with some hurdles to overcome. The youngers I see would move right away, but the olders may take a while.
There is already bitterness between those that support one league or another and those maybe indifferent over the Timbers alliance departing OPL. This happening now could create even a larger mess.
For the past 10+ years, local clubs have tried the thwart away ODP, saying "it isnt worth it" or "You don't need it to get noticed", assuming only that the money they were going to spend could be spent with their club. Why would any coach, for any reason, tell a player that ? Unless they had something to gain or had another motive. It might be spite, jealously or just plain anger towards OYSA.
Until recently, it was the ONLY advance level of play in our state.

The ECNL people are meeting up with the Oregon clubs later this month. The league is expanding and will be separated by region. There will be two teams in Oregon and they will start in November 2014.

So hypothetically speaking who would be the 2 OR clubs to get ECNL? Fc, Thusc, Crossfire or are there others? Does the fact that Thusc and Fc are so close geographically mean only one of them could be considered?
Personally I think it will be between those 3.
