You think everyone will work with TA, drink more of that funny water.
You are right, Thorns are not a club but they are going to start a girls program and what player would not want to play for them. Believe it or not, I don't really care what you think. IMHO

I hope you don't due casl as your ECNL benchmark because you are in for a rude awakening.

I will say the defense is struggling this year but that is due to making changes and time will tell if it makes us stronger. The defense has given up speed for size and so far the goals against is also up. Hopefully this is a short term adjustment and communication on the back line will improve then the goals against should start to drop. Time will tell but for Onyx to get better they need ECNL!

1. There are some pretty awful ecnl teams and being ecnl doesn't in the least mean you are a good player nor does it mean you are on a good team. If you don't know this, you don't know anything.
2. Ecnl is a long shot at consolidate talent in Oregon. There is barely enough talent as it is not to mention 3/4 those families aren't going to pay up to 10k for a soccer season.
3. Timbers stand a chance of making it work if they ever get it as they have the funds and ability to get flight sponsorships etc but do you really think thusc or broke FC has 200k lying around to get in not to mention having to fund 4 teams.
4. See #1. Why do all of this when you are going to play on a team who will get beat by non ecnl teams and those non ecnl teams will still get players on to top schools without you having to fork over 7-10k multiplied by 3-4 years. Good job competing with that.
5. Ecnl is pretty new and these crazy ecnl parents from this area have no clue this is going to work out, they just are going on what they are told but hopefully they can convince you they aren't crazy and this is the magic button!
6. I'm not from thusc and care very little about onyx but its crazy to think how jealous or full of hate they are against that team...onyx would be successful in ecnl, more than many ecnl teams including the teams these crazies are driving up to play on.
If your kid is good. Get them to a club who has decent older teams and doing a few good showcases. Don't read into the buying your way on a college team propaganda when ecnl teams and non ecnl teams both have kids going to top schools.

If onyx goes to ECNL TA is going to have to make some big changes if he wants yo compete with the big dogs at ECNL events. Just a fact.
So funny

Agreed

So funny

A lot of mouth breathing for a parent who's kid wouldn't even make an onyx. Funny funny

A lot of back and forth here about the same things. There will be an answer to the clubs on ECNL status very soon, can't we all just wait? Then get mad about the decision....

And so will Onyx!! Not sure how all the other ages will compete but better to be in ECNL then the other options in Oregon.
