It does seem like a hard decision to believe that a girls elite program would be awarded to the club with the most issues of sexual abuse... Probably not one of the judging criteria, but it sure seems important.

Bored...just watching for the same reason people watch train wrecks...honestly could are less about a program that at any age group will likely only impact 20 players, but it has been amusing watching everyone get so wound up.

Why would an ECNL bid in Oregon stop the "whole OPL/OYSA"?? There will still be a split league regardless.

Because if one or two clubs get ECNL, then that would leave one or two clubs as the odd-team-out. Most (not all) of the top level players will head to the club(s) with ECNL. OPL would be even more ridiculous than it already is. The teams that are left out would be better off re-joining OYSA. Additionally, the obligations of the ECNL schedule likely would preclude the ECNL teams from playing in a local league on top of it. It can be done but not a good idea. Ultimately, I would expect that the one or two ECNL clubs would solely do ECNL and other tourneys, not joining OYSA, and leaving the other clubs to do OYSA.

My daughters will be gone before this happens. It's all speculation.
