Keep in mind this pacific team will play in the rcl.

There are 11 teams that will play in the rcl this coming season which is 22%
Looks like they will be in good standing
22% is not 80%. And there are only 7 teams

Last I heard around 8-10 of the boys from the chelsea team came over which at 9 a side is basically your entire team.
The Chelsea boys were fully mixed in at tryouts. Some are on Red1 and some are Red2.

Which 11? There are only 7 HS boys teams that will be playing RCL. And none of the girls teams

Next year will be tryouts and then equal playing ground.

I think there have been teams that have moved over in past and were left alone that year. Only reason people care now is because team is good. There will be way more difficulty trying to merge now then next year as this is hard on the 11 year old players. Not only switching clubs, having coaching changes, but now let's add bunch of new players to adjust too. Anybody thinking of the players? I am sure the other teams have bonds with their teammates too. You try to change the teams to much too soon and you could see players mentally breaking down. It's u12 soccer not the World Cup .
Says the Pacific parent that wants their cake and eat it too. If you want to come over to a new club just so you can play RCL, you don't get to make the rules. We'll see how much truth was told in the coming weeks in order to make this happen.

Yes, I think the Pacific parents will see in the coming weeks how much truth was told to make this happen.

And you shouldn't hold RCL over teams heads in order to get quality teams in. Monopolies are good when they are based on excellence only.

I don't think anyone held it over anyones heads. RCL is one of many leagues, and just happens to be the strongest one around. If someone from vancouver wants to be in RCL they have to go through Wa Timbers. That's just how it is.

But they don't have to move the team to WT_FC to get into the RCL. They could have stayed at Pacific and had WT_FC enter them as an "affiliate" team. WT_FC has done this before for Pacific and Salmon Creek HS boys teams and it's completely within the RCL rules.

                    Then the parents were misinformed.

I can't speak for what was told to the parents, but they have a new leadership, and honestly speaking strictly from the business standpoint if you have an advantage, then you should use it. If your advantage is to enter teams in RCL, then I wouldn't affiliate anyone and I would make them come through my club. Its the same as ENCL and FCP/Cross. Do you think they would affiliate a team if they could? no way. But they would certaining bring in a strong team to enter to that league.

Who cares though, this team made their choice, and now its time to start training and focus on soccer.

FCP would never "bring in a team". They're the only club in the area that doesn't even select teams during tryouts but move kids from roster to roster all year long.

The point is they would never let a team outside their club use their status to get into a league they have the ability to get into. They would never let a Westside team play in ENCL as an affiliate. thats what I meant. Do i agree with the team coming in after tryouts, not really. But do I agree with Wa timbers using whatever advantages they have to make themselves more desirable to outside teams and players, of course.

                            It's not about the competition.
By moving to vantucky timbers they get to move up and down to better develop the players. Playing small sided games with the '02's and with the boys is an example of the new culture at the club. If they would have stayed at pacific they wouldn't get that.
The unfortunate thing is the coaching staff came over with an 11v11 group. These girls need 9v9 another year. Not to mention they will probably struggle with an academy system where players move around and get challenged. The current vantucky teams are used to it.

The real problem is teams come into the club but, never get developed. This is especially true on the girls side. It will be interesting to see what coach is assigned to this new team. That will be a sign if the club has really turned a corner or not.
