In the past some select clubs, such as SESC, have been allowed to play under the banner of larger clubs, such as PCU, wilthout assimilation. Is this what is being done?

You don't merge them w the players if the team is decided already. Now the top players from SW wa can train together, maybe even have some player movement. Smart decision to leave pacific. No reason to take pot shots unless you are a hater. Just chill.

This is only partially correct. Yes they lost the voting side, but they can still enter teams before U14.

Might want to call Todd Lincoln at WYS to check on that...

A club has to have a certain amount of teams in the RCL to be in good standing. I believe the number is 11.
Vantucky will hit that number this year

Might want to check that again. From the RCL Operating Procedures and Rules of Competition document:

"The RCL shall be for chartered Regional Clubs qualified by the specified criterion of fielding 80% of possible teams in ages U12 through U18 in the RCL and comprised of properly registered youth players affiliated with Washington Youth Soccer Member Associations, provided such Clubs and Associations entering their teams and academies are in good standing with Washington Youth Soccer and that the team is in compliance with and has not violated any of the rules of Washington Youth Soccer."

The minimum to be in "good standing" is "80% of teams from U12 thru U18". WT_FC is nowhere near 20%.

I count 7 maximum (all HS boys Red/Green) teams that will be playing in the RCL. All of the rest will be playing in OYSA.

The Pacific team had tryouts just like all other clubs. Any player who wanted to play for this team could have went to the tryout. Now because the team moved to another club all the parents want to now become part of this team without a tryout? Leave the teams alone. The girls just want to play with their friends.

Next year will be tryouts and then equal playing ground.

I think there have been teams that have moved over in past and were left alone that year. Only reason people care now is because team is good. There will be way more difficulty trying to merge now then next year as this is hard on the 11 year old players. Not only switching clubs, having coaching changes, but now let's add bunch of new players to adjust too. Anybody thinking of the players? I am sure the other teams have bonds with their teammates too. You try to change the teams to much too soon and you could see players mentally breaking down. It's u12 soccer not the World Cup .

Looking at their website it looks as though 11 out of 49 teams will be doing rcl, thanks for the clarification. Looks like vantucky is in good standing.

Pacific lost two full teams at the '03 level. The top boys '03 team came over also

                        Count again.

Keep in mind this pacific team will play in the rcl.

There are 11 teams that will play in the rcl this coming season which is 22%
Looks like they will be in good standing

And is there talk of making the boys merge and play together with other team this year?

The boys are a different situation. They didn't bring an entire team, just most the team, and did it at tryouts. So those teams got melded more than the girls will, as they came over as an entire team with their coaches.

How many players moved onto the Pacific team during the tryout process? Are the two teams going to train together side by side or do they plan on leaving the boys teams alone as two separate teams?

I don't know all the details around the boys side, but knowing the coaches I would fully expect them to treat them as a large pool, but still have them keep their own identity throughout the year. Last I heard around 8-10 of the boys from the chelsea team came over which at 9 a side is basically your entire team.
