Here it goes again - someone posts something silly, everyone believes it is a parent on this team, then the haters let their mouths run again. Let's bash the parents! Yeah, let's bash the coaches too! Oh, let's bash the girls! Pretty sure they all suck!

Every parent on that team understands that this is a fun run and won't last forever. Every parent on that team knows their kid may not be playing 2 years from now because they like band better. AND every parent on that team understands - because it was told to them by the coaches - that there will be opportunities for those who want to take it outside of this club.

Right now, they are developing and having fun at the same time. Have a couple of strong seasons and everyone immediately jumps on the hate train. All of those girls are good kids and work extremely hard. Give them some credit for bringing a little bit of success to a small club. It is pretty cool when you can be the first girls team in a club to win a Champions League match.

Agree. PFC must be doing something right. They have very solid teams, with skilled players at most of the younger ages. I will look at this club for my youngest, as they seem to have the best thing going in the Couve right now. You club loyal fools always make me laugh. Find a place for your child to develop with the best coach and players you can find. You don't need to worry about being loyal to a club, you need to be loyal to your child. Been doing the soccer thing for 10 years and the 2 older kids played for a few different clubs each and we enjoyed most of our experiences at all of them.

Timbers has done that a few times over and the players at the Timbers work very hard too. You players are no different.

Agree. Please stop making post about those Timber girls, Portland FC girls and any other girls from different clubs. They are only 10 and have not had as much time together as this team. Does not mean they can't become as good.

LOL--I forgot about the dangling carrot. Again good teams will get invited to good tournaments and have the option to join high profile tournaments with your college recruiters. Your club must love you. We found another one who believes everything we tell them.

Great point! Every player that gets a scholarship at 17/18 years old, played on a larger destination club at U18, so clearly if you are not at that destination club by 9 years old you are SOL.

Quick, get your 9 year olds to ECNL clubs before it is too late!

Just look at how many HS teams there are. Majority are at FCP, THUSC, Crossfire. And those are the 3 that send the most girls to college to play soccer.

Are we talking about 9/10 year olds, or are we talking about 17/18 year olds?

The question would be how many of the kids getting scholarships, who played at THUSC, FCP and Xfire when they were 16/17, played at those clubs when they were 9 or 10 years old?

I would say about 70 percent, the other 30 percent transferred by U15.

70? Really? That seems pretty high at U11, but maybe. If you compared numbers - Pacific has 3 girls teams and around 40 players. Their B team has also been very successful. How many players does FCP have right now? I have only seen their A team play and it was dreadful. So if you are trying to tell me that of the same sample size, FCP will put 3 times as many of those U11 girls into college over the pacific pool, you are on crack. Remember, this is regardless of where they play at U15.

That's not new news at all. They are just the most stable and will recruit to high heaven to replace the players they said they would develop. Fc p coaches will make you drink the cool aid quick.
