It wasn't. 25 goals is irresponsible and very rec. league. This is just a bunch of kids that got subjected with way to much growth hormone from milking cows.

After going up by 5 goals their coach should have had them connect 10 passes before shooting. If they were still scoring, make them head the ball in. Or just pass and not shoot.

They need to compete in a higher league, if they are at the highest available to them, move them up an age bracket.

But getting notoriety for beating up a lesser opponent and then starting a blog / thread about it is pretty asshat.

The fact that you are proud of "laying 25 goals" on an opponent shows how much you have to learn. Trust me on this. Everything posters are telling you about the decline this team will experience unless you bring in premier coaches and play the best teams you can find (who you will NOT lay 25 goals on) is true. The only question is how many seasons it'll take you to figure this out. My bet is end of u12. Teams you used to dominate will catch you, you'll get overconfident and enter a few challenging tourneys and see how far behind your girls have fallen...I wish I wasn't speaking from experience but sadly I am...hope you figure it out soon for your kid's sake.

Compare that to the World Cup now in progress. How many of those teams could even dream of dropping 25 goals on a team? They get 2 or 3 a game if they are lucky.

This entire thread is hilarious. Either the parents of this team are completely dilusional, or someone is trolling, acting as a parent and getting a bunch of people to bite. I hope it is the latter. No one really cares about 10 year old soccer except the parents and they shouldn't be living through their kids. But none the less, it is very funny.

Hopefully common sense will prevail. All of the ridiculous comments are trolling, not from parents. Check out every other thread on this forum. Each one has the exact same BS and then parents get blamed. It is probably just 1 or 2 folks who like to stir up crap.

I don't think it is one or two people stirring things up. Look at the number of replies. This team has beat a lot of teams and showed no class with regards to coaches and parents. I think you need a reality check if you think it is just one or two trolling.

People are just jealous that they aren't associated with this team. As a proud parent, I am so excited about every game they play and can't wait for game time. Watching practice is even exciting. The people who are putting us down just don't understand how great this team is and how exciting it is to be associated with them. I have videos of every game of theirs over the past two years and am currently having them uploaded to the cloud to make sure they are archived forever.

I don't think it is one or two people stirring things up. Look at the number of replies. This team has beat a lot of teams and showed no class with regards to coaches and parents. I think you need a reality check if you think it is just one or two trolling.

And it was not the trollers calling newspapers for select tournament wins, it was not the trollers racking up 15 or 25 to 0 wins against other 10 year olds either. That would be a BIG insight into the mentality of the coaches and parents of this team. I hope the previous poster is correct regarding the team will decline. I like to have a team succeed in Oregon soccer but, one which shows some class.

Grim faces, muttering under their breath, complete disbelief that their little team maybe, just maybe, wasn't "all that". That loss was the beginning of the "breakup". It won't happen this year, and all the parents will tell you that they are "in it for the duration", but come next spring you'll see 2 or 3 girls move to another club.

It could very well be that a few of the parents for them have caught wind of the ridiculousness of this thread and are intentionally helping prove how stupid it is by posting over-the-top and sarcastic comments all the time and watch how people react.
