Yes, because most coaches dont have egos. Well there are 100 threads you can get going. Well said, genius.

That's funny and shows how little you know. Both coaches presented an option to our parents due to the lack of competition down south and possibilities of having a larger club back you with a larger pool of girls. Not every parent wanted to go knowing their kid might not make the A team, but every parent said that their kid would follow wherever the coach wanted to take them. In the end, they felt like it was still best to keep costs down, move back to playing on the 9v9 fields, go north to play the big Seattle clubs, and try to qualify for an NWCL spot.

Well guess what? - done, done, done, and done. That is what makes these kids better and these coaches great. They recognized that moving this team to TA was not worth it. They could still get us into big tournaments and remain competitive (notice I didn't say dominant - all the parents wanted it but the coaches knew).

All the parents are happy with the choice, despite how this board makes them sound with a bunch of people "acting" like a fool and pretending to actually be part of this team. Stop spreading lies please.

        Thanks Pacific mom!

You may want to check in with your coaches again on this towards end of season.

Check in about what exactly? Our coaches communicate with us weekly. I don't understand the point your suggestion.

Appears the poster is suggesting that the team will have another decision to stay or not at Pacific as a team for next year. If the team is as good as people think, many of the parents wanting their DD to play at the highest levels will want to move to a bigger club like Crossfire to attract more top players and this will have to be considered. The bigger clubs will want the girls sooner then later. Many girls will probably not make the A team but, for a few players it will hold benefits in long run. Would make sense if your coaches approached this club. Time will tell though .

I sure wouldn't go to Crossfite unless you are talking about Seattle.

I think he/she was suggesting Crossfire Alaska. As far away from here as possible.

We could only hope your team would move to Alaska.

Touchy. Touchy. Can't take the heat, shouldn't start a thread about your "great little team"...

I think they meant this team. Funny the thread wasn't started by anyone on this team actually. We know exactly who it was - a real piece of work who happens to hold some weird grudge against the coaches. That same person continuously posts derogatory remarks and has basically crapped on every other club as well. Too bad that person is only holding back their kid who happens to be fairly talented but takes too much after mom.

                          outside observations

Don't have a kid at this age group and will admit I am a bit biased towards the Timbers alliance.
Been following this thread since the beginning and the Pacific team played my DD's team during spring and fall league so I know them. My DS team was playing in Summer slam and THUSC was close to my house so I made it a point to get out the weekend before last and see some of these teams.
Here is how I would rank them
                          1. Pacific Revolution (Lets be honest no one is even close to this group right now. I watched them play THUSC Selenium and it was amazing. This team is doing things that U14 team do not do in regards to shape, tactic's, and combination play).
                          2. THUSC Selenium Black (Beat Washington Timbers Red's in Directors cup and looked like the next strongest team in THUSC).
                          3. Westside Timbers (Won Clash tournament)
                          4. Southside Blue (Watched them play Pacific. They have a couple very good athletes and are well coached)
                          5. Washington Timbers Reds (Watched their games against Pacifics "B" team in the OPL directors cup. WT green and Westside Timbers during this years Clash Some good individual play from two girls. No real shape or possession, coach was standing up yelling the entire match. Talking to one of the parents they said this was not their "real" coach but an assistant that is also a dad. Don't know where their "real" coach was).

Anyway this is my top 5. Some will disagree and that is fine but like I said I have actually seen all these teams play and wanted to give my 2 cents.

Wait, you don't have a dd at this age level but went out to see 10 year old girls play soccer? I hope you are just a Pacific parent because that's just plain unusual if not. 10 year old girls
