I would like to make a simple recommendation for whoever makes up the rules about field size and mini-mod soccer. If the girls are big enough to kick the ball damn near the length of the field (especially the keeper) - then either the field is too small or you should ban punting. It was literally the only time it got into our box. Make the keeper throw it or roll it out.

Both the Xfire goals came from the keeper punting the ball and it bouncing into the box for a scoring opp. After having the worst game possible against harbor and losing bad, the girls played fantastic the rest of the weekend.

In terms of modified rules for mini-mod, was talking to a DOC recently who indicated that one of the leagues was looking at to require goalie to throw or roll it out; not sure where that would go, but that is consistent with futsal rules. One challenge is that if the other team plays a high line it is extremely difficult for teams to get it out of their half, but wonder if there are other rule tweaks that could be made to help make it work.
