10. Vancouver Timbers GU 96 Blue 2 10 0 8 2 4 26 -22
It's kinda like the Irish Premier League...

Perhaps families or single parents or other guardians who come out of the middle or lower economic classes cannot afford to send their kid(s) to college without financial assistance. When a child applies him/herself in school and in athletics, enough for a college to take notice, and would not be able to go to the college without financial aid (private scholarships, federal grants) and low-interest loans, then who are you to judge and determine that they are looking for handouts?
If you are going to say that you don't want your tax dollars to benefit someone else, then perhaps you are living in the wrong country. If you don't want any portion of player registration fees to go towards financial aid for your club, then do more to help with fundraisers and write some grants so that all players can have lower fees. Else I suggest starting your own club.
Don't assume that others foot the bill for FA players to travel to showcase. Not the case for every team, every club. Create your own club if you don't like the others.

The stats on the conservative movement reveals that 60% are racists. That moves up to 80% for Fox News consumers and 95% for people who identify as Tea Partiers.

I read this forum on occasion to seek a pulse on Oregon soccer. However, find posts of adults calling one another names. Really?

Have the other clubs taken sides?

Any club can survive if they have strong coaching, good facilities, and stable administration. Don't worry about FCP, THUSC or Crossfire.

Bu11: FCP (5th) Losc (10th) SSC (11th).... 3 teams in the top 2 leagues
Gu12: FCP (1st) Thusc (4th) Wusc (6th) Losc (9th)... 4 teams in the top 2 leagues
Bu12: Thusc (7th) Losc (9th).... 2 teams in the top 2 leagues
Gu13: Thusc (2nd) Losc (7th) FCP (8th) Wusc (13th) Losc (16th).... 5 teams
Bu13: FCP (1st) Crossfire (4th) Crossfire (12th)... 3 teams in the top 2 leagues
So my question is how do you run a competitive league like that?

Let the league with the best ideas, relationships and execution win; the non-stop disparagement isn't helping anything (except possibly scaring clubs/teams into a decision).
Have some class - if your team wins how about saying good game and moving on?

That's why this is an absurd statement
