The new format gives a kickass OYSA league of (assuming these teams even still exist):

      04. Oregon Rush 96 Girls Nike 17 10 5 3 2 14 10 4

It's kinda like the Irish Premier League...
At least that's 50% of the premier league. In the other example you had 4 out of 11(36%).

Perhaps families or single parents or other guardians who come out of the middle or lower economic classes cannot afford to send their kid(s) to college without financial assistance. When a child applies him/herself in school and in athletics, enough for a college to take notice, and would not be able to go to the college without financial aid (private scholarships, federal grants) and low-interest loans, then who are you to judge and determine that they are looking for handouts?

If you are going to say that you don't want your tax dollars to benefit someone else, then perhaps you are living in the wrong country. If you don't want any portion of player registration fees to go towards financial aid for your club, then do more to help with fundraisers and write some grants so that all players can have lower fees. Else I suggest starting your own club.

Don't assume that others foot the bill for FA players to travel to showcase. Not the case for every team, every club. Create your own club if you don't like the others.
          I second that.

The use of the word "Libtard" confirmed what I suspected and that is you are a Fox News junkie.

The stats on the conservative movement reveals that 60% are racists. That moves up to 80% for Fox News consumers and 95% for people who identify as Tea Partiers.

I read this forum on occasion to seek a pulse on Oregon soccer. However, find posts of adults calling one another names. Really?

If 75% of the TEAMS choose OYSA the OPL cannot survive even if they have 90% of the best teams. It takes NUMBERS to operate a league.

Tomorrow is "Judgment Day". Which means that the OPL suck up have one more day to deny reality.... go ahead get it out of your system. You will have this years Winter and Spring leagues as a swan song!

This isn't hate, I have an legit question for you. If you look at the younger leagues for fall this coming year. How is OPL going to put together a competitive league for their top teams? I only ask that because if you look at the ages who will be in this coming fall and look at the teams in the NPL and Premier division (and where they finished) there just isn't enough teams to make a legit league. Looking at this two divisions this is what you have left in the OPL:

                          GU11: Thusc (3rd) FCP (8th) WUSC (11th) Losc (13th).... 4 Teams in the top 2 leagues
                          Bu11: FCP (5th) Losc (10th) SSC (11th).... 3 teams in the top 2 leagues
                          Gu12: FCP (1st) Thusc (4th) Wusc (6th) Losc (9th)... 4 teams in the top 2 leagues
                          Bu12: Thusc (7th) Losc (9th).... 2 teams in the top 2 leagues
                          Gu13: Thusc (2nd) Losc (7th) FCP (8th) Wusc (13th) Losc (16th).... 5 teams
                          Bu13: FCP (1st) Crossfire (4th) Crossfire (12th)... 3 teams in the top 2 leagues

So my question is how do you run a competitive league like that?

Why do you continue to take swings at the OPL? Regardless of who "wins" this, a number of folks presumably put a good amount of efforts into building these leagues. Just don't understand the non-stop disparagement.

Let the league with the best ideas, relationships and execution win; the non-stop disparagement isn't helping anything (except possibly scaring clubs/teams into a decision).

Have some class - if your team wins how about saying good game and moving on?

I agree, thats why just above I asked an honest question. How will they put together a competitive league with what they have at those age groups? Its something I personally can't see.

The people who built OPL are the same people who are leaving. The people that are staying are the same people who didn't want to compromise. That's why this is an absurd statement.
