I couldn't agree more. For me the main question regarding the TA is the girls' lack of development, lack of a real form of style to a game. You watch how the NT played yesterday and this "send her" mentality is on the way out in regards to the future of women's soccer. Possession is where they will be selecting their next players and that selection will finally reach the regional levels. BTW, boys is the same with the Timbers (although they didn't show it last night).

Unless the TA really grows to developing players instead of boot-ball, the development of their customers will fail as it has been.

If you are selecting a club based on a league you, and only you, are letting your child down. You should be selecting a club based on their proven record for development of skills for your son or daughter. I wouldn't put my son/daughter in any TA team that I have seen because of this reason alone. And, if you believe that this relationship with the Timbers will result in better coaching and a change in development, ask for the 2 years of proof? Ask SD or another TA DOC to come and watch a game with you before you decide and ask them what style they are playing. Then, thank them for their time and select another club.

BTW, I went and watched a few hours of the TA boys training a few weeks back to see where they are at and it was sad.

I haven't changed clubs BECAUSE of the TA, or for that matter because of OYSA vs OPL. My boys are with a great club with great coaching, and plenty of championships to show for it. Our experience has been great. My issue is what politics have done to the game. I don't have the blind faith in DOCs that the OPL seems to. "They know the game better" what a crock! Get the old men and politics out of the game, let the kids play, make them earn their rankings, make them show their skills, when you hold little Timmy accountable for his own performance that is when he will develop. Blaming clubs, or playing styles or coaches is just mollycoddling the ability out of our kids to grow.

While disagreeing with your statement I should reccomend one important change "when you have the best GIRLS team in the Northwest"
