If the alliance clubs go back with OYSA it will be because the OPL as a whole finally comes to terms with OYSA and all the clubs merge back into the OYSA in a premier league. There has been talk between OYSA and OPL ever since the OPL was formed. They have tried to come to agreements between the two on how they can all come back together. Its been close before, so this is one thing I could see happening. But just half the OPL leaving and not taking the entire thing is not going to happen.

Not one person who keeps saying this is real has had any actual proof that this is happening. There has been no articles, not anything that can prove the allegations you are making. The only thing was "GW has said this" yet nobody can show us where he has said this. And I hate to break this to you, but what leagues the alliance clubs play in is something that GW could care less about. Hes running a pro soccer team, he doens't care about the leagues there in. If you think hes spending any of his time with that hten your fooling yourself.
Actually, I think you are fooling yourself if you think you know GW that well. Your description is of what a GM should be doing, likely would be consumed with doing if the Timbers were looking like the last two years, but the Timbers are on a roll. Things are looking up, and the coach seems to be putting pieces together.

Gavin is before all things about control. OPL has pushed back on many of his initiatives, I suspect his image of rolling back into OYSA is he would call the shots, perhaps becoming more reviled than CK, but allowing "his" timbers teams unfettered access to far west regionals.

Believe what you want, like you said there isn't hard publishable proof, but there is a pretty substantial track record to look at.

I agree with your description of Gavin's mindset focus on control and ego. He is stuck in a hard spot by his own actions. He tried to get OPC clubs to go to OYSA but was met with guarded suspicion since he was a founding member (representing Eastside) of the OPC. After not getting his way with the OPC and irritation with OYSA's antics, he promptly changed course and insisted that all OPC clubs stay out of any OYSA events. After an Alliance club gave their teams options to play in OPL and OYSA events, he was furious.

All along the Timbers and MLS want to see their youth affiliates work with youth organizations. For this reason as well as Gavin's need to control things, I can see potential pressure to get Alliance teams back to OYSA. The choice is up to the clubs and not Gavin. I seriously doubt that these clubs have a specific clause in their contracts forcing them into one organization over another. To do so would be in violation of "open membership" under the Amateur Act and specific bylaws of the USSF, USCS, and USYSA.

Thank gawd I didn't hire you to represent me in last divorce.

You pay a tuition at your club for your kid to play. You dont have rights, they select you, not the other way around. If they dont like you, they can just release you and your free to go where ever will accept you and some even have written policies that state they can and will keep you money after a certain point of services provided.

Same with these clubs. They participate in a league the club chooses and if that administration or sanctioning body has policies or rules that state otherwise, they dont have to accept you, unless you completely comply with all of them.

Who do you think your kidding ? If GW and the Timbers have a written agreement that states in order to belong to the Alliance, you must follow the direction of the Timbers, that is it. They will do it, otherwise face the expulsion from the Alliance, additional costs to its members (parents like you) in changing to another set of gear and loss of identity recently established. Most clubs (not all) want to belong.

With numbers (co-op so to speak) there are advantages to the clubs and belonging to the Alliance brings privileges like playing in the ODP friendship cup and other opportunities exclusive to the Alliance.

You are mistaken about most clubs wanting to be in the alliance. Clubs outside Portland merely see it as an opportunity to make themselves somewhat relevant. The Nike clubs have no interest in being an alliance club.

You are correct in that the alliance clubs are forced to do GW's bidding.

Beyond the Timbers branding, there are few advantages to being an alliance club. It is mostly just red and white everywhere.

THUSC Onyx played in the friendship cub and is not from an alliance club.

I never said that the only advantages were offered exclusively to ONLY the alliance clubs/teams, but the majority of the invited were Red/White
