The alliance teams will probably go Timbers controlled soccer while the rest continue with the OPL.

How long did anyone think it would be before they would turn on themselves?

I'm the parent of an 11 year old. What was wrong with OYSA? What was it that the OPL was going to improve upon?

It's too bad that the sheep don't understand that without changing the FOXES not much will ever change other than who it is they don't like telling them what to do!

OPL had a chance
Problem is opl was given an opportunity to work with OYSA on their own terms.
But their egos and desire to crush OYSA got in the way.
Now they are left with nothing and are trying to figure out what to do with the excess money that was collected.
Should have stuck with their original mission of catering to Premier Teams.
They only have themselves to blame.

With the exception of a few Vancouver Timbers teams, they are terrible on the girls side. WT plays RCL so OPL did not lose much.
With the Timber's Academy, the best boys are pulled from their clubs regardless if they play Timber Alliance or OPL.
Not sure what you mean by left with nothing. Does nothing mean the OPL girls teams don't need to play WST or Eastside. I would think that is bonus since those teams are 1st Division or lower Premier.

We're new at this. Our daughter is on a U11 premier level team for a club that hasn't gone Timbers Alliance yet... When will we know for sure? Not until teams register for league play (OYSA or OPL) in the Fall? I think it will be a bummer if the competition is split....

Really as much as is being said that this club will play here, and that club will play there, it is all really just talk since as mentioned above a team cannot be compelled to play one place or the other. All we can do is wait, I am happy however to see the migration back to the USYS National Championship path. This is much better than the USCS stream

Actually this is real. Timbers will be taking their Alliance clubs and several others back over to OYSA (with stipulations of course). Peel away all the distracting comments and opinions and this is all very real.

If the alliance clubs go back with OYSA it will be because the OPL as a whole finally comes to terms with OYSA and all the clubs merge back into the OYSA in a premier league. There has been talk between OYSA and OPL ever since the OPL was formed. They have tried to come to agreements between the two on how they can all come back together. Its been close before, so this is one thing I could see happening. But just half the OPL leaving and not taking the entire thing is not going to happen.
Not one person who keeps saying this is real has had any actual proof that this is happening. There has been no articles, not anything that can prove the allegations you are making. The only thing was "GW has said this" yet nobody can show us where he has said this. And I hate to break this to you, but what leagues the alliance clubs play in is something that GW could care less about. Hes running a pro soccer team, he doens't care about the leagues there in. If you think hes spending any of his time with that hten your fooling yourself.
