Have been on teams with good parent onions and bad parent onions. Really glad current onions are not adverse. Bad onions may not be the only reason to switch teams, but in my experience, its a strong indicator (if dd is not happy) to move along.

Maybe you are missing the point if you are equating a individual desiring to try something new or a different team as being selfish. I kind of think it is smart. It is a dog eat dog business these youth sports these days. Each player and their parent as the only true advocate need to do what is best for their child. Clubs throw players and parents under the bus all the time. Even players and parents who have been very loyal.

My best advice as a parent of multiple sports kids:
Do the right thing for your child because it is the right thing to do.
Do it because it is your child.
Don't let the fear of adverse parent onion be your guide.
You are your child's only advocate.

Add them in with the parents on here who say "f all other kids, screw them over, undermine them, take advantage of anything you can do to promote your kid at the expense of others" and you will have some all out family fun. Good times. And to the CU parents who think they are getting a good player, wait until that player stops passing, shoots from 30 yards whenever possible, parents stop paying for anything and expect the team and club to cover expenses. Oh, you'll love it then.

Could really be one of many selfish stars from teams/clubs that promote that kind of play to win games with early developers. Spoil them rotten and the parents are convinced their kid is the next Mallory Pugh. Turns the poor girls into prima donna princesses who truly believe it is all about them and only them.

I totally agree. My daughter's 01 team played them this year and during warmups, I listened to three parents completely dissect and tear down every player on their team, discuss which club to jump to next, which coach was taking players along with him, where girls were who had left the team, etc etc etc etc etc....it was gross.

You must not be a premier team, every team in premier has at least one of these, most more than 1

Crossfire 2001 team on the other hand has a pretty nice parent group.

They've been humbled a lot this year. 6-0 losses will do that to you.
