More likely their top 2-3 players find a better home next year.

Hardly any two touch play on that team, half the girls just boot first touch. So not sure who this team would be an option for. They have no B team to draw players from. Unless another team implodes in the Couv. Who is going to step in and play for that team.

What that tells me is we should all stop boosting about all of our sub-par performances and start working together as parents and find a way to get the best kids in the area on one team so that these kids can actually compete with the girls in Seattle. Otherwise it's going to be years of the same.

Get over yourself
TS didn't advance, but they were competitive out there for nearly all games. You can look at wins vs. losses, but you should check out the scores too. They played some great soccer and represented Oregon just fine.
THUSC had 1 solid beat down from Seattle United, but most teams did. The rest of their scores were pretty close which leads me to believe that they were pretty competitive out their too.
FCP was a bit inconsistent, but they only had one big blowout vs. the mighty Seattle United team (who has only lost one game since the Summer).
FCSC - well, who knows what they were doing there. I hope they had a nice pool at their hotel. Maybe they got to visit the zoo on their out of town to turn it into a positive experience.

Westside : 2 Win/0 Tie/3 loss - wins over ASE & FC Nova
FCSC: 0win/0 tie/5 loss - agree not sure what they were even doing there
FCP: 2 win/0 tie/4 loss - wins over WA Timbers & THUSC
THUSC: 2 win/1 tie/3 loss - wins over Indie Chicas & WA Timbers, tie Spokane Foxes
WA Timbers: 2 win/0 tie/ 4 loss - wins over Indie Chicas & Spokane Foxes
Again with 5 teams from Oregon/Southern WA NOT one WIN against Seattle teams and not one of the above teams advanced. The results speak for themselves.

As of now we are fine. At U14 they do start to funnel to 1 or 2 teams in the area. Its called ECNL. Either CU or FC depending on the age group wins out. Smart money would be on CU in this age group with the addition of LO, THUSC, Willamette, and Southside. It is going to be a nice team.

Dilution of the top talent between 5-7 clubs hurts oregon soccer. Oregon soccer needs to take a look at itself if we want to develop top talent.
