What I note from this list is not only 1 current TA club. I don't think you can count EMFC as a TA club yet so I don't think you can count them in as developing a team. Looks like maybe Eastside figure things out but, not Westside or ***C.
Man, you are just grasping at straws. If you would do your research you would understand that ***C is doing just fine. In fact, they might be the best club in the area if you look at girls and boys every age group. If not, they are in the discussion.
These THUSC, FC pdx, and ossa people want so desperately to stay relevant. They are blinded to reality. I don't even care really. Enjoy the slow ride down. It's happening right before your eyes. Change is making you crazy.
Can you explain what's changed? WST still has very few teams in premier. ET still has the occasional decent team U14 and below. Eugene and Sherwood have good teams U14 and below and then fall off. VT has always been strong. WST and ET have virtually no competitive teams U15 and up because by then the top talent consolidates and it sure doesn't consolidate there. I guess maybe all the TA clubs can claim victory because VT wins? Not sure how that works.

The fact is we really wont know if anythings changed for a little while longer. When they first made the name changes, nothing changed. but since then I have been seeing more organization, better development programs, ect. Those changes take time to show their fruits. We wont know what those are though for a while, and we won't know if those teams will stay at the older ages.
But Look at the U11 age group Top 3 girls teams right now are TS, ***C and Eastside on the boys side the top 3 teams are ***C, Westside, and Eastside. Is that a fluke or is that an indication that their development programs are starting to make a bigger impact?

College recruiters are not attending U11 games. Every girl in Oregon knows this. That is why they go to OSSA, FCP, and THUSC after U13 or U14. Girls who are still palying at that age and want to go play in college know they have to move.

Your missing my point. In the past player left these teams to join stronger teams that played at a higher level at the older ages. However, with these changes IF those younger teams are stronger they have a better chance of sticking together longer, and if that happens and hte TA can start putting together better programs and opportunities for their older kids that could start to change that.
The fact is outside of a complete collapse, a top 4 teams at U11/12 will stick together and stay fairly strong throughout. In the past though by u12 FCP, Thusc would be dominating so they would recruit away players.

Top three U11 girls right now are VT,TS, and FCSC not ET. Boys have always been ET and WST. VT has always been a strong girls club so putting them with the Timbers organization did nothing. Maybe most people didn't know that because they didn't play OPL. Eastside has good younger teams due to their size and brute force. For some unexplained reason Sherwood always has good young teams. Nothing has changed if you look back.

Please don't buy the lie that the TA is selling you at U11. Same coaches. Well, not entirely. Several TA coaches have already left and moved to other non TA clubs. Yet, mostly same coaches, same fields, same practices, same everything, except different uniforms. Uniforms don't make a team or a club. TA will always be about the boys at any age. The choice is yours, but real development on the girls side is happening at FCP, THUSC, and OSSA. THese three clubs send more girls to college than all of the other clubs in OR combined every year.

TA clubs have always done better at the younger ages where you can boot the ball and win. It all starts to change around U14. Until coaching improves on the girls side nothing will change. It takes parents a few years to wake up but they eventually do. One of the best teams WST had was that little Sherwood team and their best players left to FC, OSSA and THUSC.
So these are girls clubs? I have heard the boys teams have been having problems.
Crazy argument that makes no sense when you think about it. Let's compare THUSC and WT. Why do you think one is better than the other at girls/boys? Really the same "development", just depends on the team/coach not so much the club. Find a good coach and team and change later if needed. Try to be a good sport and friendly to others, you might just end up at the club you are blasting later or at least playing together at high school.
The club landscape is changing quickly. The split between teams/leagues will have an effect on who the stronger clubs are going forward.
I don't think anyone knows at this point who will rise. Anyone who says they do, is merely speculating.
Of course everyone loses if all the best teams aren't playing league games against each other. The lowering of general competition for weekly play is not a good move.

Best club? Coaching? Now who is drinking the Kool Aid.
Weather making for some ugly games this weekend.. Wont be surprised if we get a big upset at some point.
Have an 02 boy, but saw this post and wanted to comment. Our game today was so windy that at times, the team going against the win had little chance of moving the ball up field. We won, so not saying this is an excuse or a reason why we won, just that it was, at times, almost unplayable. I felt sorry for the other team at times as we beat them pretty handily and they were going against the wind the second half and were lucky to get the ball past midfield. I expect this weather in Oregon, but not in late September.
