It always costs about the same. With ECNL you actually get more training hours per dollar than anywhere else. The majority of the cost is in the travel, whether that's for league games or tournaments, doesn't much matter.

This is true, if you do ODP and team travels.

It's not until you start having to fly for league games that it gets really expensive. My complaint is that there is no effort to be economical. Not asking for cheap hotels/air, but reasonable. Hotels picked are very nice and expensive. It adds up quick.

You're paying for 1/4 of a hotel room. It's not a big deal. You don't have to stay in the same hotel, or even travel at all.

It adds up when staying at $225/night hotels.

In a place like San Francisco or San Diego, $225 per night is a trashy hotel.

Right. I would think $400 per night anywhere outside of the NW and Seattle prices are creeping up.

A nice place in Seattle is going to set you back at least $400 per night unless you plan on the Roach Motel.

Simply not true, when we went for FWRL we stayed at a nice place and it was $99 a night and that included a breakfast each morning.

It really depends on the area. Most of the time we can get decent hotels in Seattle for $150-$200 as long as you arent super picky about location.

Please, if you ever traveled for soccer, you'd know that all the big field complexes are out in the burbs $150 per night is no problem.

It's usually referred to as a silver spoon but whatever.

Big wrap up weekend for ECNL league play. Great opportunity for Oregon teams, predicting strong showing this weekend.
