At 2001 only 40% or so of the better players are at FCP and CU. Too expensive.

But such a low barrier that it doesn't keep out the top talent. But it does make a good excuse for the parents in the Timbers bootball crowd whose kids can't make the JVII team at David Douglas.

Not bragging about wins, bragging about the system working in our favor. We'll be 3rd in Silver & yet, we'll be in Gold next year and beating all these current top teams that lose all their good players to ECNL... Sure, Westside will beat us and then they'll dissolve like their '01 team. Same with TikiTaka. The rest either become ECNL or lose most of their best to ECNL. We're simply developing this year and biding our time.

Sad that the game plan is to hope other teams get worse, not that your girls get better.

It would be sad...but a Eugene parent didn't post the bragging comments. I know the parents on that team (my kid plays on another Eugene team) and not only are they not like that, they are very much aware they are a silver team with a lot of improving to do. My guess is a former parent who bolted to greener pastures about an hour north is pot stirring.

Congratulations to Westside Copa TS - the only Oregon '02 team to make it to the semis in NWCL. They join three big WA teams: WA Rush, WPFC & WA XFire Premier.

The $700 per month likely does not include parent travel. But that's only $400-$1000 per trip depending on how long and how far.
