My guess, if that did happen, is the regionals will still be based on the current age system. Doesn't the new guidelines take effect at the end of Summer?

Yes. USYS Regionals and Nationals will be school year - it's the culmination of the 2015-2016 season.

Thought so, it's just easier for b!t(hes like you to complain.
I wasn't complaining. I was bragging. I'm part of the Timbers Alliance.

Roster that wins state cup goes to regionals. Same as always.

Once the top players leave for ECNL, the rest don't matter so much. Just throw a bunch of them in Gold and call it good.

Not much to brag about, you have a captive market in Eug/Spr and the best you can muster is relagation and then 3rd place in Silver.

Let's see how you do this weekend against Westside then maybe come on here and brag. Your other 2 games look more like Silver matches.

Not bragging about wins, bragging about the system working in our favor. We'll be 3rd in Silver & yet, we'll be in Gold next year and beating all these current top teams that lose all their good players to ECNL... Sure, Westside will beat us and then they'll dissolve like their '01 team. Same with TikiTaka. The rest either become ECNL or lose most of their best to ECNL. We're simply developing this year and biding our time.

At 2001 only 40% or so of the better players are at FCP and CU. Too expensive.

Try about 80%. The rest live too far away.

So with the amount of money ECNL cost it must have the best coaching in Oregon? I hope your getting what you pay for!

ok, I'll bite, even though this has been covered about 350 times. The extra cost is mainly for the travel, but the annual dues are a few hundred higher too. My DD just moved over to ecnl from another club. I loved the coaching at her old club, A lic coach with tons of experience, so I wouldn't say that ecnl is getting her better coaching. However, it is getting her more coaching, as her new ecnl team practiced more this summer than her old club and is practicing again now (1-2 days per week) while her old team is completely off for HS season. During the season, I would expect double the amount of practices. Also, facilities are much better. Always has at least 1/2 if not a full high quality field for practice, vs. much more limited space at her old club. In my book it's worth the extra $700 per year.

No doubt about it. Just compare the ECNL coaching staff to ANY other club in Oregon. Head and shoulders above even the best of the best in the Timbers Alliance.

Yep. Twice as much training as non-ECNL. And no meaningless games against bottom feeder rec+ OYSA teams. Definitely worth the money.

Ok. Name the good CU coaches. Please.

Uh, you do realize you are the meaningless game for the rest of the ECNL, right?
