Shameful! Surf don't care about the parents behavior, just your money. Any decent parent at that club should leave, no matter what BS RL or NL league they play in.

And his daughter bratty? Really? Have you met her? Seen her play perhaps? I really doubt that...

Nothing shouts “I have no idea what I’m talking about” like people talking about ID Centers.
Clubs put forward names of the players they think USYNT should look at. USYNT staff come to games and watch players. If players the club put forward deserve to be at the ID Center, US Soccer invites them. If they don’t, US Soccer doesn’t invite them. If someone not put forward by the coach deserves to be there, US Soccer invited them. If no one does, they don’t.

2. If you honestly thought he gives a crap about your kid after the last stunt at the last club then you are idiots.
3. OS you get what you get. You hired some dude that was being kicked out of his last club and now expect he’s going to take care of an actual team?
you people are dumb

He rewarded loyalty. I am sure both kids have ability, but all if this has the appearance of favoritism. Ask any parent that had a kid coached by him at Thorns. Ask them how often they noticed him primarily concerned with how his daughter was playing and coaching her during the game compared to the rest of the kids. The ball could be in the defensive third, but he was yelling or coaching his daughter on her position on the field up top. He was distracted and too focused on her. One problem was he was often a dad first and a coach second.

When do you people wake up and realize that the Thorns hired him and didn’t care and let it go on. Now OS is like duuuuuuuuuuuhhhhh we don’t know he was like that duhhhhhhhhhhh.
You people are lost. Find a coach that cares.

You are referring to RH, but she didn't start THUSC, it was TA who started it. He had a few good girls' team (the rest of the club for B-level teams) and couldn't sustain it so he merged with Crossfire in LO area to form United Crossfire or Crossfire United. He was fired and RH took over.

Yes, it did. I guess modern-era ENCL affiliations or top girls program started with TA, then RH killed it and now it's being run over, back up over again and run over again. Your basic train wreck.

Wrong--at least partially. Recommendations from club coaches and directors help them identify who is selected. I know that for some ID camps, like Girls Academy and ECNL, the players are given rankings/evaluations by their coaches. That is submitted to the people doing the choosing. Film may also be provided to them. Yes it is the US Soccer that makes the choice, but it is from the kids and the evaluations that come from the club and perhaps scouts that have seen them play.
But here, with this particular age group, it is pretty fishy that only those two were chosen. If I were a parent on that club's 2010 age group I would wonder if all of the kids were really valued similarly regardless of ability.
