Quite possibly the dumbest post in this thread.

Nemesis is notorious for having players play on multiple teams so if they had some U10's currently playing U11 that could have played U10 then they would have. No doubt about that. I have never seen a club so bad about that.

If VT had fielded an "A" team as Nemesis did then Nemesis would of had no chance of beating the Timbers, mainly because the Timbers would have put their "A" team in gold :)
Nemesis could only hope to have a team as good as any top VT team.

        1) Local Rec Leagues - just for fun and exercise
        2) Select Portland Metro League - shorter season, less commitment
        3) Premier OPL - year round, local competition for most "A" teams and all others
        4) Premier RCL - year round, statewide competition for the "A" teams that want/need more competition than they can get locally.

33 out of 36 Pacific FC teams played in the Fall OPL. The others chose to go to PML. Each COACH at Pacific had their CHOICE of where to play (unlike at VT where the almighty DOC said what is best for each team).

If you want the RCL schedule and travel, and you are a top 14 player at age, go to VT. If not, save the drama, politics, and money and go to Vancouver's other club.

What is going to happen when Pacific hires a DOC? Coaches still in charge or is DOC the almighty like VT? That will make a difference.

Saying FCSC or Pacific has less drama is like saying the Columbia river water is less wet than the water in the ocean. Dbag

This could all be mood point soon if VTimbers are allowed to fully participate in all OPL events. This will end up bumping Pacific teams as many of the select VTimbers teams could play 1st and 2nd division

I heard most of the teams from the new FCSC/Pacific club will join the Parks & Rec league.

The only reason that the Select VT teams couldn't participate first was their DOC. It is hard to justify having a Select team beat a Premier B team when they are paying $900 less. It was VT ego that has held these teams in PML.

                    I just about pissed myself!!!!

Being a member of Pacific FC I have to say that the above post is absolutely incorrect...

We have 21 teams....17 of which play in OPL....

I myself hope that the merger does include a DOC that knows where to place teams....the moms and dads that coach these teams more times than not DO NOT place their teams in the right division. We really only have one true Premier team in our BU13's but I've heard they will be moving back to the Timbers anyways. As for 75% of the other teams that are playing at the lowest or second lowest division possible they might want to think about PML. I've suggested this many of times with no response from coaches. I think it's an ego thing

                      Incorrect....

Select teams were not allowed to do OPL because the Board Members voted that Premier teams only can play OPL....there is a reason why they call it the Oregon Premier League.
Next year though, it sounds as though there will be a sliding scale....this will entice players to hopefully step up and play for the higher levels.

now that statement is a bit of a low blow...FCSC/Pacific is just a step above Parks and Rec.

I completely agree...I already called P&R and apologized to them... :)

Maybe Aloha United will merge with them so that they can become a rec league force. Just think what Paul Blackmore can do with the power of FCSC and Pacific behind him in his battle to secure turf time at Tualatin Hills Rec Center.

I took the time to count for both of you

17 teams in OPL - many of which are in the last two divisions - OUCH!
                                4 in PML
