Great performance by WSM and OPFC 09s at the PRO League. Beating good teams such as Barça Academies. They are defining the league with one game to go for a trip to Nationals. There is talent in OR.

Not sure what you mean. This was a very good game with 2 goals for Westside called for offside, posts, good goalies performances, that was decided on a corner kick with minutes to play. Westside needed to win to make Nationals directly and OPFC now with the win needs to wait for a result to see if they can go in 2nd place. Why people keep talking garbage about Oregon soccer? These are very competitive Teams.

The USYS platform is now entrenched as a 3rd tier standard nationwide with the MLS Next & ECNL leagues hosting the top 100 to 200 clubs in the United states. Being competitive with the 3rd rung of teams nationally is basically like playing in the top shelf of OYSA. Nobody is moving the needle with regard to being nationally relevant talent in Oregon, outside of the Timbers DA. No matter how much useless travel is asked. It's truly fairy tale theater in Oregon. OPFC lives for the false narrative to feed privates and delusions of grandeur. The kids from this club annually end up playing nowhere of and wind up quitting the sport after HS. This has always has been the case for that demographic. Back to Sleep.

Yes the ECNL side of thing for boys is loaded nationwide, just a tad behind the MLS Next. That's why UPX struggled mightily against our neighbors up north. BTW XF Premier is 3 clicks better than anything in Oregon and close to the standard of the Timbers DA.

Both OPFC and Westside 09s would compete with ECNL MLS Next Teams. Maybe next year they won't but today they would. They have the majority of 09 players in Timbers DA.

Just so you know, UPDX ECNL team is not playing in OYSA games this spring. They have their black team (2nd team) playing for OYSA gold.
