westside called the thorns but doing a crappy regional league.

thorns who have a history of crappy management and not being able to keep kids at the club is being run by fc Portland who literally almost folded because of mismanagement.

fc Portland is now at the mercy of everyone because of the fire sale there.

Meanwhile NWE is trying to convince everyone that ECNL is good and their coaching staff is good when they went from strong teams to a couple ok teams and some really bad ones after Legg left.

    What a joke.

moral to the story: better have a good coach. League don’t mean ****. History proves that.

OYSA teams out committed thorns every year the past 4 years. Fc Portland is done and NWE is deteriorating.

ECNL really has done wonders hasn’t it! Hahahahahah

BS. Just pure BS in this post.

Yep…and the Thorns recruit the biggest biologically older kids they can find…and most of them drop way off after 2-3 years. Mainly due to the lack of development and tactical/technical coaching that club produces.

Probably why the thorns are terrible and can’t keep older teams together. Just look at the state of their oldest team. Out committed and out developed by OYSA teams.

This is the common statement with no facts..Give us a list of commitments and schools.

It is a common statement that everyone with a google search should know. I’m sorry you’ve been in the dark this long. Might want to check with your snake oil ECNL coach.

Until PCU wipes the floor with them. No one else is close in this age group. But PCU wins 4-0 I. The final

Not sure what the problem with that is. Hopefully the year older state champions is better. Still impressive that the 2010s are top 2 in the state while playing a year up.

I think the point is that Thorns/WT have actually developed good younger age teams.

Not hard to do when you lie to parents and tell them their kid is on an ECNL team and part of a “pro Academy”

pretty easy to recruit the best young players, much hard to develop them into good older players. Something the Thorns fails miserably at.

Or when you cherry-pick out of ODP by providing an infomercial to parents that TA is the place to be.
