That seems insane to me, spending time on a site that you believe is all lies and BS. Do something better with your time. The idea is that people post their thoughts based on what they experience. Unfortunately the site is full of soccer bums that try to change the narrative to fit their scams on promoting their shady clubs.

go sell your BS and recruit somewhere else. This site is for honest feedback to inform. Not recruit to your crap club Westside Timbers
Thorns is top notch at ECNL and higher.
Only true girls Club with professional level in the Oregon. Practicing at Providence Park is a big bonus, and the ECNL squads have been practicing and using the meeting rooms at Providence Park since they started with ECNL. The only thing keeping the old CU ahead of the Thorns was Legg. Now that he and his recruiting / work ethic has taken his talents to Crossfire, the Thorns will thrive in PDX. Really no good reason to not go to Thorns if you are good enough to make team.

Top down leadership, mental, nutrition, training and rehab facilities in a professional environment.

You do realize ECNL stands for Elite Clubs National League. It’s not Elite Oregon Clubs. Thorns cannot compete at the regional level, let alone national.

”Top down leadership”. Please name these illustrious leaders you speak so highly of!

I think you will be surprised and what happens in years to come between NW Elite and the Thorns. A good rivalry, for sure. You don't need to oversell the Providence Park BS like they have been for the last 5 years. BTW, how is Tobin doing as technical director? I'll wait for the response ...

Yup, this. ^^ The dominant years will continue to fluctuate between clubs. No way that one ends up on top across age groups. Will never happen. Pick the best spot for YOUR kid based on all available information and don't worry about everyone else.

With these 2 clubs it’s most certainly a race to the bottom. If you want your daughter to hate the game and spend most of the time on pointless travel against teams that will use them as a sparring partner choose either.

No they won’t continue to fluctuate. They never have, FCP used to be dominate club ECNL in PDX, then it was undoubtedly CU and now Thorns are best option. Try as you may NWEFC but your second tier now. Thorns deserve it, they have the resources and fields for practice.

NWE will surpass Thorns. That’s my prediction. Way better Director, and now way better coaching at the younger 08/09 age groups that will help development. They have better players at those age groups as well.

I know the Thorns hacks will be screaming about this post, but watch it age over the next 2 years. Some of the coaching announcements haven’t happened yet, but when they do you will see the rise of NWE over Thorns.

Most of the younger Thorns players are not happy with the environment and coaching. The parents aren’t either.

I have also heard FCP has a possible trick up their sleeve for the younger ages next year. We will see if they pull the trigger on that. If they do what is rumored they may have a strong chance to revive.

Does not help either that the Thornas are allowing parents to coach their own kids

I hear NWE is also going to parent coach route. Not a good choice by either club.

Not true. The FCP trick up their sleeve is dropping the ECNL teams to the ECRL. Not sure that's a trick.
