any one player cannot play on two different teams in the same weekend....BUT....a player can play one weekend with one team and another for a second team...

    for example....

BU12 player plays on age with his BU12 team the first weekend.

BU12 player plays up on the BU13 team the second weekend in October...he cannot play on his original BU12 team the second weekend....

you CANNOT be rostered on any given weekend on two teams. I confirmed this two months ago because there was a rumor out there flying around that you could.

if you are unsure contact Greg Ion -gsion1818@gmail.com

Where does it say this in the NWCL rules?

          http://www.northwestchampions.com/docs/2012_rules.pdf

Rule 201 allows a pool of 30 players for any team, and puts no limit on the number of roster changes that may occur as long as the players are active in the team's club and not on the US Club roster of a team in a different club (except for BC Provinicial teams)

Rule 202 specifies that only 18 of the 30 players may be used for any particular match

Rule 203 states that players may play for only 1 club but does not limit the number of teams within that one club

I guess the rules don't specifically prohibit but the guy who started and runs the NWCL, Greg Ion, seems to have clarified it in his e-mail response.
The rule's intent appears to allow for player movement within a club but the issue that is not addressed is how many teams can a player from the same club play on in one day/weekend as claified by Greg Ion - Only one.

FCSC will find a way to do it. Just as they put together a State Cup team with nobody that was on the roster until the final spring game. They be sneaky smart like that.

At some point you just have to say "whatever".
There will always be people who interpret and bend rules to their advantage. When and if they ever get caught they employ the "better to ask for forgiveness then to ask for permission" strategy. I'm sorry. We didn't know we couldn't do that.
Everyone's definition of doing it right / clean is different.
If there were millions of dollars riding on this then it's worth getting all up in arms about it .... it's youth soccer!
If they can feel good about stretching or breaking rules and sleep at night then so be it.
I'd like to use the reasoning "what kind of lesson are they teaching their kids" but it just doesn't really work here because the kids don't give a rip or even care about such rules .... they just want to play soccer with their friends! This is just stuff that us wound up parents care about.

Agree 100% and I'm the one that posted the rules above. I think they (and other teams) will dual/triple roster kids because they interpret the rules to mean that they can. This is a "league" under US Club, not a tournament. Just like in the OP "League", kids can play on multiple teams within their club on the same day or weekend. If that's not what is going to be allowed, Greg needs to update the rules ASAP or sooner.

My question is why are they ringers? Are they not born in 99? Are they of the right age to play for the 99's? Are they not registered and rostered for the 99's. Do they play and practice with the 99's? Who's to say they are not guest playing for the 98's and really part of the 99's? Besides I thought there was only 1 girl in question. Do you really feel that insecure about your team that you worry about 1 player? Just let the girls play and shut your mouth. Jez you act like there putting Abby Wambach on the team. Get the point it takes a whole team to compete. It's a u13 girls soccer game. Get over it already, I can't believe you really sat down and compared schedules to see how many and when they could play. you are truly a stocker!!!!

stalker or stocker works. and he won't cop to the fact that this was the same practice used last year to help the then FCSC 99 nemesis team place so well in the fall 2011 nwcl...love the irony/hypocrisy...

                            Who cares!

If the kids are young enough to play in an age group then let them.

If the parents on either age groups have issues (their own kids limited playing time) then they can change clubs. Sounds like there are a few other clubs these people can go to in Vancouver.

If there is an issue of kids swinging up and down in age group it is more of an internal club issue then external. If you are from FC Nemesis and have issues with this then you should bring it up. Sounds like FC Nemesis is hurting for players and they would probably not want a group of parents leaving due to this policy.

If you are not from FC Nemesis, then quit your crying. This is not rec soccer. If the girls on the FC Nemesis are young enough (and the rules allow) then they should be able to play if they want to and the club allows. I am sorry your kid is not good enough to play up.

                                Like the Stalker name.
But get a clue. Valencia is not in the NWCL no heartache here, Big Lefty and the others can play on 10 teams if they want to.

Also note that the 1 player was rostered on 99 Nemesis during NWCL but chose to leave after at the beginning of the Fall Season. The team played well enough to finish fall with an 8-3-3 record to qualify for NWCL this year (fcsc's welcome) and move through to the Semi's in NWCL.

Best of luck to all your teams.

                                ~ Stalker ~
