Development wise, maybe because the Sounders poached from Crossfire and Washington Premier who had been part of the DA since the beginning? In other words, a multi-year head start. Vancouver runs a residency program that brings in kids from all over western Canada. There's a couple of reasons. Plus, population wise both areas are vastly larger than Portland. More players = more really good players in most cases. That said, looking at GW, his experience, decision-making and leadership is fair too. -

We all love the timbers, happy they are here. We just hate the crap product they spew on the field and the elitist attitude. They are in last, they are worse then they were last year and now their DA U18 team is off to a rocky start and the U16's got beat by Jr High kidsComment

I don't think it's made up. I have little doubt that there would be repercussions. The fact you think he was "called out" and made something up and question the fear of retribution suggests unfamiliarity with the age groups and the persons involved.Comment
