hahaha I can't believe I'm evening responding to this.

AUSC has been in contact with many of the other rec clubs and they are having the same difficulties. This has now been brought to the attention of THPRD and we are hoping they will resolve it soon.

If only one club could be accommodated, would you prefer that four clubs barely get use of the fields? Any thought to longevity of use? (Which means not only long term rental income but actual money spent in improving the fields and facilities.) Or is this another whine about I want mine. The Milltown SC lists over 75 fields that they play on. Not enough? What's to resolve? It works for all clubs in Beaverton already in regard to fields.
I believe the rec clubs should get use of fields equally among other rec clubs. WSM Warriors should not get the use of many fields while AUSC gets the use of none. This has nothing to do with classic soccer.

Bill Kanable at his finest....
He doesn't like to be challenged and attacks people personally if they question him. He is well known for poor behavior when frustrated.
Very disrespectful and unprofessional.

Or you can look to the other half the field and see the 50-70 kids for THUSC sharing a field!!
Please don't think you're being singled out.
Even the classic clubs, each kids paying a couple hundred more to use the fields, aren't getting adequate usage either.
This is not a Bill Kanable issue. This is a THPRD issue.

I could be wrong, but I see a rec team with yellow socks use the Rec center fields. They aren't THUSC or WSM. They have been using each week for a few weeks now.
THPRD has more fields than just those at the rec center. Not sure if people know how many fields are offered. AUSC has several fields they can use around them, just not the ones they want. They could use Aloha HS, the neighboring schools and parks. More than enough space in the late spring for their programs and needs.
How will THPRD sustain their fields if they don't charge a high enough price for usage. (Tax payers do not cover the full cost if you didn't know).
Sorry, there are snobs everywhere. We can't avoid them.

Fields
Simple. Change over grass to turf. THPRD is way to protective of the grass fields. Just change to turf and the problem is solved.

Be polite and factual and see what happens. If as you and other charge there is a favoritism in the allocation there is nothing like PUBLICITY and the threat of legal action to make nonprofits sit up and fly right!
Good Luck

The Warriors also have same problems for years, well beyond your knowledge. Not uncommon to find two or three teams on a field at the same time. To have Bill as Warriors Pres and on THJSL Board is the same as the Cedar Mill rep as VP on THJSL board. Field use is tight around the entire district, for all sports, all hours. Quite the bias bs.

It is a conflict of interest and he should not be put in that position by THPRD which is why I said it is a THPRD issue.

What is happening is that AUSC combined their rec program and classic program into one group...and don't forget the recent dismissal of AUSC key people right before the new AUSC has stepped in and is trying to take access of a whole lot more fields and field time. What is interesting in this is that there are a lot of unincorporated areas (even varies within a cul de sac) that complicate things for field assignments.
