Did THUSC get ENCL or not?

I come on her occasionally to read the 'hub bub' about soccer in Oregon. Last time I was on here it was all talk about THUSC getting into the ENCL and they would know or announce it by the 15th.

I wouldn't say never...I said 3-5 years because that is the truth...

With this whole Timbers Alliance I think you'll find multiple clubs combining...trouble is it will be a couple of year after consolidation that ECNL will consider a club.

If you think you have an ECNL level team like all of these donkey THUSC parents...then take your team to Surf Cup....oh wait, you have to apply for Surf....and most would get turned down....

any THUSC teams been to SUrf in past 3 years?
IF so, how did they do?

Why yes we were there the last two years and have been accepted for this year already. You're an idiot.

I am an idiot because I said that there is a possibility that THUSC may never have an ECNL team?

THUSC is that good that it is a forgone conclusion they will have an ECNL team.

                My bad, I guess.

Actually you didn't say that. You said; "If you think you have an ECNL level team like all of these donkey THUSC parents...then take your team to Surf Cup....oh wait, you have to apply for Surf....and most would get turned down....

That is what I was referring to.

Westside coach here: Anytime an opportunity for girls soccer in Oregon goes down the drain, it's very disappointing. I don't care which club it is. Thusc has some very good teams, with plenty of them playing for me at the HS level, but I understand the ECNL requirement is quite stringent. Perhaps a consolidation of clubs is the way to go in order to meet those requirements, I don't know.
But back to my point, there's too many people on this forum, and unfortunately people up top, with a scarcity mentality that is hindering the progress of girls soccer. This conversation needs to be occurring at the top, and it's not happening. If we are 3 years away, so be it, but as a community, we owe it to the players to provide them with opportunities to play at the highest level.

You copied my text ("or never") and said "I was an idiot...."

Just look at the dialog box.

Shame on me for thinking that it is a possibility that Oregon may never have an ECNL team.

I'm confused. I cut and paste directly from the original post. I didn't add anything or delete anything. Now you are saying you said something different? That doesn't make sense.

Thank you for a honest opinion on creating a high level opportunity for girls in this state outside of ODP. I agree that there may be too many clubs and a merger would likely be in order to consolidate resources and talent. It will be too late for my daughter but I would love to see this opportunity present itself to the upcoming female soccer studs!

One thing that I wonder is how does the soccer community go about attracting the attention of the "top"? Obviously these forums are not the avenue but when approached by individuals the reaction is not pretty. For us we went from being a valued customer and part of the soccer family to being a problem that needed to go away.

It would seem that parents of female soccer players need to unite to approach the "top" ..not demand or berate but to ask the hard questions and to see if there is a plan. After writing and reading on this forum it also seems that uniting on anything is very difficult for soccer parents. We seem to be an angry bunch. Any suggestions? And, who is the "top"?
