I come on her occasionally to read the 'hub bub' about soccer in Oregon. Last time I was on here it was all talk about THUSC getting into the ENCL and they would know or announce it by the 15th.

THUSC is that good that it is a forgone conclusion they will have an ECNL team.
My bad, I guess.

But back to my point, there's too many people on this forum, and unfortunately people up top, with a scarcity mentality that is hindering the progress of girls soccer. This conversation needs to be occurring at the top, and it's not happening. If we are 3 years away, so be it, but as a community, we owe it to the players to provide them with opportunities to play at the highest level.

You copied my text ("or never") and said "I was an idiot...."
Just look at the dialog box.
Shame on me for thinking that it is a possibility that Oregon may never have an ECNL team.

Perhaps a consolidation of clubs is the way to go in order to meet those requirements, I don't know.

One thing that I wonder is how does the soccer community go about attracting the attention of the "top"? Obviously these forums are not the avenue but when approached by individuals the reaction is not pretty. For us we went from being a valued customer and part of the soccer family to being a problem that needed to go away.
It would seem that parents of female soccer players need to unite to approach the "top" ..not demand or berate but to ask the hard questions and to see if there is a plan. After writing and reading on this forum it also seems that uniting on anything is very difficult for soccer parents. We seem to be an angry bunch. Any suggestions? And, who is the "top"?
