But if they truly want to play up, what is lost or what complications arise?

The boys usually don't like it until they see how good the girls are.

How can a team go from one of the best teams in Premier last year to 5th or 6th this year? I have to wonder if the new players never fit in or is it coaching. What if they make it into NWCL and the team falls apart? Who takes that spot the next best record?

I do not know much about FC, but like alot of 12/13 year old girls, guess they have ups and downs. What does FC need to become better at finishing games more consistently? Just curious / Thoughts?

Congratulations to your girls for winning the game and securing a NWCL spot. Interesting that you seem to want to pick apart what ails FC when they finished ahead of Sherwood in the league standings? It would seem that both teams struggle with some consistency issues........and yes, likely because they are 12/13 year olds. Just relax and enjoy watching the journey.

They move the ball around better where Sherwood sends a long ball almost everytime. Both are great teams and when they play each other it's always very tough!

Let's not forget that FC went from 8th place to 3rd and Sherwood went from 2nd to barely claiming 4th. I have a lot of respect for the FC team and am sure that by spring they will be in 2nd. And you really want to talk about finishing? FC doubled Sherwood's goal differential and scored 5 more goals than Sherwood.
Oh and who can forget that they managed to tie Onyx. You just keep living in your own little bubble and think about the good ol' days when Sherwood was a top team. The rest of the league will move on and keep going forward.

I think you should just worry about your own team. You don't finish games well or play consistently. Oh and rumor has it that four or five girls are already shopping for another team. Call THUSC maybe you can pick up some more players from there "B" team. Just curious / Thoughts?

Not even a SHerwood parent. Just looking for some insight about the team from a perspective much closer to the team than me. My daughter is considering FC next year as a team to play for. I hear lots of great things about FC, but wanted an honest opinion.

In trying to return to civility, I would like to congratulate all the players and coaches on a great fall season. It was fun to watch the growth and improvement of so many teams. Others may have struggled, but I never saw any team give up and those teams rose to the challenges and gave their best effort. There appears to have been a few injuries and I wish those girls a speedy return to the field. Here is hoping any of the basketball players return healthy and all teams continue to grow during the Spring in their preparations for State Cup or whatever it will be called this year. And finally, for those who venture out of the state for tournaments this winter, best of luck, represent Oregon proudly!
