[QUOTE=Unregistered;641850]Completely agree. I think FC is the second best team in the league. By Spring they'll be playing some great soccer.
1. Onyx
2. FC Portland
3. Nemesis
4. Sherwood
5. Eastside
6. OR rush
7. LO
8. NEU
1. Onyx-only five goals given up 35 goals scored!
2. Eastside-physical play earns them this spot.
3. Nemesis-last year bootball and screaming coach will work!
4. FC Portland-to much talent for this spot. Should move up in the spring!
5. Sherwood-wow what is going on over there?
6. OR Rush- good speed surprises some teams.
7. LO-looks like their game is out of the country with their coach!
8. NEU-ouch!!

1. Onyx (obvious choice. FC tieing Onyx was the worst thing that could happen as it seemed to have sparked Onyx and no one will catch them)
2. Sherwood (have already played Onyx and Nemesis twice. Favorable schedule left)
3. Nemesis (5 games left)
4. Eastside (physical team with good defense)
5. FC Portland (talented team and will come on strong in the Spring)
6. OR Rush (good speed but need to learn to play as a team and improve defense)
7. LO (not sure what is going on here)
8. NEU (they play hard but would be better off in Div 1)
Spring predictions:
1. Onyx
2. FC Portland
3. Eastside
4. Nemesis
5. Sherwood
6. LO
7. OR Rush
8. NEU

[QUOTE=Unregistered;644881]Anyone have a game analaysis for the Sherwood-LO game and Onyx-Nemesis
In the first half Onyx moved the ball with ease around the soccer field just couldn't put one In the goal. Second half Onyx continued switching fields and passing at will until Nemesis made a mistake and gave up the first goal. Onyx continued to pass and move as Nemesis began tiring and the second goal was scored. I think Nemesis had one or two shots on goal no real scoring opportunities.

Looking to go over the top of defenders is a good play if you have good athletes.
Look at any high level professional team and you will see them trying to put a ball pass the defender heads and let the forwards run under it.
Just take a look at the Timbers. They do it all day long.
Calling it "boot ball" is just a way to make the losing team cope with the loss better. If it makes you feel better then keep blaming your loss on the boot ball.

If you want to look at the great teams you will see the ball is played on the ground 75% of the game. Take some time and watch Barcelona or Man U. Every player on the field knows how to play out of the situation. There is a difference between a nice ball over the top and a random boot.
