I agree that Onyx does a great job of possessing the ball while FC and LO both try to play correctly as well. Sherwood and Nemesis tend to boot the ball way too much once it hits the midfield. I do believe that Sherwood plays possession better than Nemesis but no where near FC and Onyx. Onyx is still the clear favorite to win it all but I do see them being challenged more and more each year as the teams will windle down and the talent won't be so widely spread out.

I too feel Sherwood boots the ball too much, but has the horses up front to make it work. They at times pass the ball pretty well. Takes time. Beat FC tonight 2 1 and the goalie on FC kept it from being more like 5 1.

They have one decent forward who works hard but that it about it. The only time that booting the ball will work is when you're playing the Oregon teams and lower end Washington teams. Try taking that to California.

Sherwood is quite a bit behind FC and THUSC when it comes to ball movement. Hopefully they can stay together after this year as all and all it is a good team.

That is not going to happen. A couple of the players will be leaving this year. Coaching changes will happen and that will end this team as it looks right now. Have to give them credit for keeping most of the team together as long as they did. They have a talented group that stayed for several years.

People who lose to a team that boot the ball like to complain about the style and seem to believe that their kid's are better off and losing with style. It seems to make the losers feel better and justify all the money they are spending for skills development. At the end of the day, you need athletes to win a game. It sounds like Sherwood has some athletes.

Sherwood has not faced any true competition yet in the NWCL. They beat an Oregon team, beat the Idaho B team and played a decent Dos team. I can guarantee you that the possession game would do much better in California than the boot ball game. LO and FC without a doubt play a much better game than Sherwood.

LO tied the Eastside team from WA and they are a top 3 WA team.

Nemesis tied Sherwood today. Sherwood played down one player (the starting goalie) and still tied. Easily could have won but Nemesis put one in within 5 minutes remaining. Nemesis and Sherwood actually are always very close.

We could go back and forth. Just cant figure out how you can emphatically say one team (LO or FC) is better, and they continually get beat.

FC and LO have nobody to finish. At times is prettier, but SHerwood is passing more and more and are far more athletic. It is what I have continually heard from people at FC and LO.

That is great LO and FC play a better game. Too bad they haven't yielded the great results that you are talking about.
