Might want to use the latest rankings to make your playin brackets or wait until midnight tonight. Several teams moved since you built it. I have #1 playin Canby winning big against McKay and #2 LO doing the same against North Salem.

Totally Unrelated to brackets
I was at the SHS vs WVHS game. Towards the end of the match the keeper for WVHS kicked the ball straight up in the air, ran to the corner of the box and caught it with (what it looked like) one foot in and one foot out. The A/R on the far side raised his flag. Play stopped after she kicked it again and the center ref ran over to conference. After they spoke the center ref preformed the equivalent of a jump ball in hoops where he drops the ball between two rival players and play resumed. Two questions;
1. Can a keeper kick the ball to herself?
2. Shouldn't SHS been awarded a free kick or PK if the keep was straddling the 18-yard box line?
Thanks for the help in clarifying.

What would the difference in these two situations;
1. the defender passes the ball back to keeper. keeper redirects the ball with her foot, then picks it up in the box.
2. defender passes the ball back to keeper. keeper shanks her kick and then catches the ball in the box.
Shouldn't both situations yield the same results?

But since the keeper shanked it, I think that changes things as it is not an intended pass back. For example, we know that a keeper can pick the ball up in the box without an infraction when a defender shanks it or deflects it and it goes to the keeper. I am thinking that when the keeper shanked it to herself the same concept applies. But again, I didnt research it!
