With AMP gone the rest of the team has stepped up. 5 different players or so have scored in each of the last 3 games. They are having to be more creative not always feeding the ball to AMP which in turn can be a good thing. But obviously they are stronger with her.
Defense is by far the strong point on the team right now. Working out the kinks at forward. Best case scenario she can return sometime right around playoffs but that's only if she has a very clean recovery. There are a lot of ifs but everyone else seems to be pretty healthy with just a few bumps and bruises. They are pretty determined to prove they belong.

Gonna take the flaming with a smile that comes after this, but as I fully believe in being honest, here goes........
The team is actually stronger (THS) in ways without AMP. Relying on her really took away (and not blaming her, could blame the other players themselves) other players taking risks and stepping up. I think in a way players thought they had to feed her the ball, over keep it, or take their own shots and chances. Players now are playing more of a team game, and this will be vital come those tough games in the play-offs ahead.
She is a great player, but her success has been mostly due to the lower end teams we have faced. Our team's success as well. We won't be scoring 10, or even 6, goals in play-off games. Not against the top teams we really need to see and face. She isn't like a Courteney Verloo who was noticed greatly in club soccer and games; with hs just being a side thing.
THS has a legit chance in the play-offs and for State, with AMP or without her. I firmly believe that. I actually can't wait to see tighter games, there is really no glory in reading an article about your team's success and strength when you know the lack of talent and athleticism in the team you just knocked 10 goals against.
And I do think we can compete against Jesuit and Sunset and so on. We have the club players to do so.

Beaverton vs Westview
BHS is scrappy but if Westview is back healthy they should take out last weeks pounding on the Beavers. WHS 3, BHS 0
Southridge vs Sunset
This will be the match to watch. SRHS has been inconsistant but when they're on, they're ON. SHS has stepped up their play as well and is riding high. IMHO, Skyhawks won't be able to penetrate the Apollo back line. Sunset 2-0.
Thoughts anyone?
JHS 3, AHS 0 - Not as wide a spread as predicted.
Beaverton vs Westview
BHS 0, WHS 1 - More ammo for the "Westview is on a downward slide" group. Surprise of the night.
Southridge vs Sunset
SRHS 1, SHS 3 - Score makes the match seem closer than it was.
10/24 MATCHUPS
Sunset at Westview
Probably the game of the night. SHS is tearing it up and WHS isn't. Injuries play a factor here as SHS posts a 2-0 victory.
Beaverton at Aloha
I can't see AHS pulling this out especially after the Beav's nearly beat WHS. BHS 3, AHS 0.
Jesuit at Southridge
This will be a good contest but the mighty JHS will again prevail. JHS 3, SRHS 1.
Feel free to comment, it's a free world (for now).

Metro Results
The results for tonight's games:
JHS 3-0 over SRHS
WHS 1-0 over SHS
AHS ?? v. BHS
The Westview win adds for an interesting twist in the league standings. Now depends on the games this Thursday to lock in playoff positions. Looks like it will be JHS taking home 1st, Sunset with 2nd, and Westview with 3rd...

Ahs 1 bhs 3
The score doesn't really give an accurate picture of the game. Bottom line is BHS worked harder for the win. AHS keeper came up with a couple BIG saves. AHS defense let her down quite a few times. BHS forwards have speed and made some great shots. AHS has several good shots, just not on frame.
