If he was the most respected why did not get rid of Cony already?

All of the players on the Tualatin Metros Teams had to sign waivers saying they would not move to WSM Teams in the middle of the Season. Everyone is calling it the Cony Rule for all of the crap he pulled last year. Oh, by the way, the Tualatin Youth Soccer Association is still waiting for that apology you promised. Put that together with all of the bad treatment of the girls that he coached paints a pretty ugly picture.

What paints an ugly picture is your rambling. I am guessing your daughter did not make either Tualatin Metros and Westside Metros. By the way John is a tremendous guy and he is very respected by all DOC. John is the Director of Soccer Operations at Westside and Cony is the DOC. They work with each other and report to the Board. They both do a tremendous job and have elevated Westside to a elite program and the most successful program in the state for the last few years. Along with success comes jealousy and obviously we know where you fall. Hope your day gets better.

So you don't think any age group of girls in Oregon are national team pool qualified?

Interesting points... Is there a list of past players that have made the pool? I know 3 '94s went to ID camp, with one continuing on. And wasn't there a girl that made it that was a 91 or a 92?

Not on the girl's side. We will see one every 3-4 years.

Didn't the 96/95 group have some?

But fly fishing is a passion for some and (sort of) ties in the "casting a huge net" sentiment.

3. Wasn't it Cony who was the only coach tossed from a NWCL match last year.

What we are talking about is integrity, and as long as Cony gets to do whatever he feels like with no repercussions then I would imagine that John has no high ground on anybody.

If and when we merge with Thusc make sure you show up with a tag on your forehead that says "Idiot" and we'll know to send you somewhere else.

Is this a serious post? I am not the previous poster but I have to say, you are wrong. Players were recruited.. There has been more of this. And if Cony is such a stand up guy why would Metros have its' players sign forms called the "cony rule." LOL they are protecting their players from a coach in their own club. Really can it get much worse than that?

Bold statement and simply not true. Westside has a great boys program but the girls side is still waaaaaaaaaaay behind. Having 1-2 decent teams does not mean you have the most successful program in the state. I would say Thusc and FC are much, much more successful all around on the girls side. FC might be the most successful all around club right now.

I think Bain is a great guy but not anymore great than the other DOCs. When it comes to behavior from Cony he does tend to look the other way.

I am a WSM parent (not of the '97 Usonians) but I just wanted to let you all know that this kind of posting does not represent our entire club. People like this are shameful to our club and I really wish they wouldn't post. WSM like any other club has it's hight points and low points. We are no better or no worse than any other club out there. Our boys program is going strong but yes we struggle on the girls side. I think a merge with THUSC would be great and improve both clubs tremendously.

FC... how many state championships in the last 4 years? How many last year? I believe they have two last year and THUSC? Wait, I can hear the excuses... championships don't measure a Club's success... etc... But is it the only tangible one right now. All clubs place players in college, etc....

Thusc Sodium U11, U12, U14 State Champs, U15 Finalist
Thusc Neon 5x State Champs
Thusc Mercury 2x State Champs
Thusc Iridium Finalist
Thusc Onyx 1x State Champ (too young before that)
Thusc Ireland U15 and U16 (more at SSC)

Last year Thusc had 4 State Champs and this year 3 State champs. They had 5 teams in the finals and 6 in the semi finals.

People, please just ignore this WSM parent. The rest of us WSM parents know exactly who it is posting and it's quite embarrassing to us. This is just one very outspoken '97 parent. Please don't think it is multiple people posting. Anyone familar with the Usonians will know who it is.
