Somehow coaches like her always seem able to weasel into both ODP and now, US Club, for very strongly likely their own reasons and motives.
You cant tell me it should be allowed for her to help with any age group that she herself coaches. She should be helping, if at all, with the older kids, best would be the boys. Or not at all.
US Club should not taint itself by allowing the same BS that OYSA does with ODP. It was horrible how she basically recruited girls from the ODP pool last year, and very likely, this year as well as she is again involved with her ow team's age. This is why we dont do ODP, too many political things and biases. I am sad to see this BS bleed into this training center now.
My daughter is U13, is at the training center, and I am simply disgusted at how many of Rochelle's kids are there.
So, if your daughter is there, dont be shocked to see many THUSC girls on the list who make it. It'd be nice to finally see no biases and no conflict of interest sh*t allowed to keep the "what ifs" out of the equation. Because bottom line, even if my daughter doesnt deserve to make it, I will always wonder now.............

Or maybe because Rochelle has an A level license, college coaching experience, ODP coaching experience she just happens to be a top coach in this state so the Trainers from US Coaching decided why not bring her on board!!! Quit always looking for a reason to hate - can't yo just support Oregon Soccer? I read this board and it just seems funny that we wan't to always hate!!! lets support! Your daughter must be good if she was invited - did Rochelle only coach the THUSC girls? I guess it is sad to me that we just hate, hate, hateComment

well it is a conflict of interest. she is coaching the same age group for ODP and club and that should never happen. she has already tried to recruit Usonians to play for thusc and i just don't think that's appropriate. it's better they have another coach in there.Comment

Actually, she didnt coach her girls she made sure they got more time with HUGO. Another botch for Oregon soccer. Lets be honest no one goes the Id2 to be coached by THUSC coaches.. Conflict of interest, maybe. Rather than complain about it on a blog, why dont you contact the governing agencies (OPL. OYSA) and offer a policy change. Complaints get you nowhere, but using your time and energy can maybe produce the results you'd like to see.
Personally, I dont see the problem. She is qualified and has coached and still coaches a number of different age groups. Talanted coaches are hard to find.Comment

Then maybe you should complain to HUGO not to this board? Can you copy your email to him onto the website for us? Oh yea you didn't send him one - you would rather complain here. So She should have said no because you think it is a conflict of interst!
Oh and NO I am not a THUSC parent, not related to Rochelle - just think you are being petty.

She also trains many of the WSM girls so I guess that should be a conflict of interest as well. Get over it. She's a good coach and the kids really like her. Hugo has the final say, not Rochelle. Who ever stated that there were a ton of THUSC girls there lied. I would have assumed that WSM had the most boys there and THUSC the most girls.Comment

Are there people on this forum who really think it is appropriate for there to be club coaches at this at all? It has nothing to do with Rochelle except that THUSC is notorious for this nonsense. Let's be realistic here, it is not just THUSC. Look at the try outs for ODP every year. WSM had a parent of a player there who also coaches the same age group. The U14 boys coach at WSM is also the ODP coach for the same age group. It happens at all the clubs. Do I think it is right? No I don't but it happens and I'm not going to come on here complaining about it. I filed my complaint with the people who can make a difference. I think you were looking for a reason to complain about THUSC yet again. I am beginning to think that there aren't numerous people on here complaining about the club but maybe just 1-2 who have nothing better to do than post on here multiple times.Originally posted by Unregistered View PostComment
