Guess it hurts when parent volunteers beat a paid coach like that. If you can't turn around a team in oysa this year maybe you should look into some kinder kick opportunities I'm sure someone would pay big at that age to learn how to play the game beautifully from a keeper.
THUSC, LO, and WSM for example will charge closer to $1300. So try to get your details correct. I guess I would rather pay the $51 extra and have a professional coach insteaf of a parent coach.
At u12 it may not matter that Keizer teams have no focus on skill building, and instead are about size, eventually the skilled teams will win out.
I guess speaking logic to someone who doesn't understand basic math may be a loss.

Actually we are bigger and more skilled, I hope you do develop your players into a strong team I really do. If by developing talent you mean recruiting players from keizer to cfc I have noticed you do have success there at times. Not sure why someone would go there from extreme to olympia to play oysa for that rec team but hey I guess you can cut a few players who donated there $ to make room and have a great rec team.
Yes, Keizer does have a very good trainer but she is not the coach. She trains the teams for 90 minutes per week. Parents don't make great coaches in the majority of situations. I'd rather pay a little extra to get a quality coach and I'm not just talking about the two u12 girls teams that you are talking about.

So you understand the world you are playing in. $835 at KSC bus you a professional who does skill training once a week with each team, and a Parent coach. $895 at CFC buys you a full-time professional coach, as well as fitneess resources etc... as available. $1300 at THUSC apparently buys you two full time coaches, an ex-military fitness instructor, and a team psychiatrist.
Know what you are buying. If you are happy with your world be happy, but don't delude yourself into thinking you are some super team.

Its ok all the Salem players on the girls side get recruited to Thusc along with their coach. It is a nice net package.
Then Thusc can claim to have developed them.... see how that works

Congratulations to the Keizer girls, but don't let it go to your head it will take more than some size and big legs to win anything at regionals. I don't have girls, and really only observe what they do as a sideshow, but I think it is unfortunate that because Keizer prevailed in a very thin field they are going to think what they are doing is validated.

My daughter is happy playing with her friends and likes the coaches. Yes I'm certain she could get better coaching or whatever in Portland but she is in the 6th grade! Having fun and developing adequate skill for her age and maturation is perfect for her and so its great with me. If she was the next worlds best player and didn't want to participate in school activities and other sports I'm not sure I would be willing to drive up their until 8th or 9th grade. I will say congrats to all the winners and wish them all luck without comments of delusion or other nonsense.
