I did not go with OSSA as the Rage and SSC good strikers seem to have left their clubs at this point. I did go with FC based on history. I agree though that this team has struggled to get going .

Team 3 will be harder to figure out. It goes back to coaching, fields, drive times, and who has Basketball and LaCrosse players in the mix.
FC has struggled - injuries, etc. I wonder why more don't move over to this club now - it would really give someone a great chance to shine

Im not a hater, but just responding to your statement here.

If this team suffers so quickly and easily with a couple of key players injured, then it would take more then a couple of top key players to actually make a difference in their results. Earlier this spring they seemed to be on top of things, then it suddenly slipped away. I cannot imagine that that many key players were injured all that time and for so long that kept them from regaining some of their energy before the end of the State Cup games.

Did they lose any players last night ?

From my understanding FC had some late spring league injuries that hurt them. SS will struggle this next year and honestly I do not see enough talent going between SS and LO to make up for what they have lost to make a super OSSA team. I am going with WSM/THUSC /FC as well.

Totally disagree. What will happen to SS when they lose their chase the ball forward?

LO and FC both struggled own the stretch this year. SSC and Rage finished fairly strong, going to semis. But, SSC lost their best scoring threat. For Rage, the loss of their forward is not that concerning by itself, it just becomes a numbers game for them. They don't seem to be getting new players and if they lose a few, they may have problems.

All four teams have talent, it will probably depend on where that talent ends up. Geographically, it would seem OSSA would be a better fit for a lot of the Rage players as well as LO & SSC (obviously). But, I guess geography has never slowed FC down before and with the quality of their overall program people seem willing to make the drive. It does seem like in this age group that there is more than 2 teams worth of top talent. May not a lot more than 2 but probably enough for 3 competitive teams through the HS years.

I am sorry I do not have a kid on the FC Team but was seriously looking at it..
                  Quarters FC/THSUC 0-3
                  Semis RAGE/ THUSC 0-4.

I didnt even know FC had injuries. But it seems they managed it alright.

It is interesting that through out this thread, there has been little if no mention of THUSC. Are they just taking the same group they had this year and moving forward? No one leaving, no new players?

I doubt anyone would leave at this point... I see changes at all the Metros teams, and SS

Other than that there just are not enough to go around.

According to a parent there, all but the big forward and a 8th grade defender were at tryouts last night.

Tend to disagree about the Rage forward, she scored almost all of their goals in NWCL and assisted in or scored most of their goals in the State Cup, including the only goal against OSA. The Rage started to struggle to score in the latter part of the Fall League and did not pick it up considerably this year.

As the talent consolidates the the lesser teams will struggle to score more and more against the upper level teams. The small quick strikers will have a very difficult time against larger defenders who are as fast as they are and quick too.
