What is wrong with you people? These are kids you're talking about. I know for a fact none of you would like it if someone came on here and ripped into your child. Grow up please. I am a Westside parent and am embarrassed by the comments on here. Usonians are a good team but there are other good teams out there as well. They are not the greatest team to ever come from Oregon and those of you Westside parents that seem to think that need to get a grip. All you are doing is making the entire club look bad. Some players that tried out for Westside may have chosen to go to other clubs because it's a better fit. We have a great team but parents on here are probably scaring away people.

I am a WSM parent as well and these comments are getting out of hand. We have a good team and should let the girls show that on the field. Coming on here with your arrogance is not going to accomplish anything. I will be listening at ODP today to try to figure out who this person is. Hopefully we will all know soon enough so we can put a stop to this. I am sure it's only one person and I have a feeling I know who it is.
All the girls that tried out were great players and I wish all of them the best of luck. I can't wait for another competitive season to start up.

Never take the odd comments seriously.
There are bits and pieces of information and comments that are helpful.
Overall, after all the talk we go out and enjoy our daughter's playing soccer. With all of the movement of players it will be interesting to see how things mesh.
Early predictions here for Fall League:
1. WSM, after all the talk they still remain a pretty darn good club. The new forward makes them all the more dangerous.
2. THUSC, new forward will help them offensively. They continue to improve and if their defense stiffens a bit more they will be tough.
3. Rage, 4 new players, 2 from WSM and 1 from LO. Another added but not sure where she is from, anyway, they have a great Coach and a great defense. If they can generate more offense they can beat anybody.
4. FC, no players lost and they continue to improve. If they get a little stronger physically and their defense improves watch out.
5. SSC, LO, and Eastside will have to put the pieces back together again. SSC especially was starting to get their Mojo back but the loss of their forward will definatley hurt them as it would any squad.
Just like the NFL and NBA drafts this is the time of year to dream a bit before the reality hits.

WSM adds firepower changes bench
THUSC adds firepower. D was already solid
FC adds we wont know much until later because of pool play. I am hearing they had a couple big additions.
RAGE adds/loses, overall stays about the same, but less fire power.
SS Lose not looking good for OSSA next year
LO Lose
Eastside?
Pacific Ice?

I believe the movement of players this season won't change the results too much. WSM will still be on top, followed by THUSC and the rest will battle for a win each weekend. Quite frankly, there are only a handful of great players in this age group and they are divided amongst different clubs.
WSM 2
THUSC 1-2
FC 1
LO 1
Rage no great players but most starters are very good players.
Don't take this the wrong way, there are very good players all throughout this age level, but people tend to have an overinflated idea of great talent.

Heard Pacific Ice didn't have enough to field a team. Quite a few went to the Timbers.

SS lost the aforementioned forward and a defender due to age. Absent those, everyone returned. How does next year look? Don't know, they are 13 year olds after all. The only consistency is inconsistency for kids this age. However, for a team that finished the spring season in first and that beat the other two State Cup semi finalists during the regular season, I feel that the team will be, at least, competitive. My guess is that they will better than competitive, but they are 13 year olds so who knows. And I trust our coach to bring in players who will complement and add to the existing team. It his his job to continue to develop them and I am sure he will do that.
What I do know is that the girls who are no longer with the team will be missed. As will their parents. The girls were great teammates and their parents were the people who you want to be around. However, I am sure the new girls will become fast friends with the team and their parents will be welcomed and will fit in great. And the team will continue to to get better, amazing and frustrating us with every game.
To the girls and their parents who left, good luck and we will miss seeing you each week. To the new girls and their parents, welcome aboard and we look forward to getting to know you.

Hey, are you sure they did not lose a player to Rage? Her name starts with T.
I am hearing she accepted a spot on their squad.
