LOL and has to have the last word.. What a peach.

You are a turn off. If they get enough I am sure they will set you free.

      Dont fall into their trap.

My guess is this poster is not really from WSM. Very possible like many of the posters on the board they post just to get people worked up no matter what club the discussion is about.

Some people have nothing better to do with their time.

We (at WSM G14s) can't figure out who this is. We have been trying to figure out their style of communication and their points of emphasis. This banter will soon stop once we figure out who it is that is speaking on our behalf.

Dependent on the club they may get paid by player, but at this club in question here the coaches are not paid by the number of players on a team.

Good try though. Thanks for playing. Better luck next time.
I've clearly struck a nerve with you and it is quite humerous as you try to defend your decision. This "world revolves around my team" attitude you have is qute humerous since my points are applicable to any team. You seem to think this is just about your team - you really should try to get out and get a life beyond that of your daughters team since their accomplishments have nothing to do with you, but I digress. There is no benefit for any parent who is going out to tryouts right now and who is possibly going to be a number 14 + player, especially at this point of their development. You want as much playing time as possible, unless you are just a player who is happy being on a team and the parents are happy with dropping $1500 just so that they can watch her play at practice and see her sit the bench during games. Any team you are on, you want to be at least in the top 14, although preferrably a starter. If you are number 16, then you better hope to improve to 14 or better in a hurry. However, if the tide is carrying all kids at the same rate, if you are 16, then you are going to be 16 all year long and you better enjoy those 10 minutes a game and learn to be a good cheerleader, especially in those tough games where you don't see the field. If college is your focus, then being on a team of 16+ doesn't make sense as a starter or a reserve. Even if college isn't your focus, you have to ask yourself the question.

I've met some WSM parents and they were pretty nice. My daughter said the girls were really nice. However, the girls on most of the teams have been really nice. There is only one set that were really ugly on the field. I won't name names, but their attitude might be driven by the fact that they play near Mt. Hood. It could also be socio-economic driven too. Or both. This clown may or may not be with WSM. If he/she is, then look toward the reserves or the b-team. My guess is the latter.

SO who went to WSM u14 girls tryouts today?

                50 girls there

They made up 4 squads to scrimmage each other.

                Then they split up again.

Top 22 and bottom 22. # new squads and more scrimmages.

They have the top 11 picked. Past that who knows.

So did WSM u14 girls get all the players they wanted? SSC, Rage forwards and LO defender

11 girls on the bench is going to make a few parents REAL happy.

Some of these girls are trying out at multiple clubs. Not sure the defender would be top 22.

Not to distract from the topic of WSM's gluttony of players at tryouts ;) but what does it look like at the other clubs? Low numbers, high numbers, exciting tryouts??

You can only roster 18 players at U14. Of course they can always move players to the B team.

You can roster 26 players but can only allow 18 to participate per game.

                              Rage Forward

Will probably not even make the squad. They had her with the 2nd unit. SSC forward was with the 1st squad.

                              LO Defender...not sure.

You have to ask yourself if you want to be on a team that rosters 26-even 20. You don't even get to sit on the bench! It may be time to rethink things and move to a strong premier team where the numbers are fewer and your kid will make a difference and get lots of playing time, yet still be competetive.

                                What team could that be...
