98 Girls ODP Tryouts

Wow !!! You must have put a lot of thought into this post.

We are talking about individual players and you bring up the results of whole team ?

SSC Crush did not try out for ODP, individual players did and Ill take a wild guess here, but that lil player from Crush must of put a hurting on your lil girl or you just really hate her parent(s). (take your pick)

The only reason I say this is is one of the other girls on that list played on a team this past fall (LOSC Ice) that also didnt qualify for NWCL next year as well and yet you dont say a word about it. They also finished 2nd to SSC in the State Cup last year.

So why bring it up ?


You dont need to answer, just get rid of your personal agendas here, your drama is too bright for all us.

Is this a joke. SSC was so weak in the fall they did not qualify for NWCL next year. The one girl from SSC who is in the pool did not make the final squad last year. I thought SSC had put their tail between their legs and stopped posting here..

I thought the one girl that made the pool last year from SS Crush was the good striker and she turned down a spot, then did not try-out this year. The little girl that moved to Onyx did not make the 98 pool (a shame really). Is there another SS girl in the 97 pool. I guess one could ay that the striker from SS is one that is missing..

Who are all these missing players each of you (or the same person keeps repeating) speak of ? All I ever hear is this broken record yet nobody knows who these "miracles of the game" we are all missing out on. Please identify. Heck, just state their team and a position, Im sure most of us can figure it out. Then we can agree to disagree about your opinion rather then keep listening of how your precious lil girl didnt get picked (and should have).

She did play on Ice when she made the ODP regional pool last year.
She did play on Ice when they took 2nd to Crush in state cup.
She did play on Ice this past fall when they too didnt qualify for NWCL this next season.

So why didnt you mention that ?

Not all U14's are going to be 97's. Are any of them on the 96 team ? A good team is just that, a pool of players that together compete very well. This is not about club team play, it's about individuals. So why are these good team players not playing ODP ? Did they tryout ?

There are actually 3 SSC 97 girls playing. One is from Crush (MF), One from Magic (GK) and one from Trinidad (Wing). There was another from Aftershock that made the pool, but instead chose to play basketball this spring.

The striker from SSC quit the program last year even before going to the sub-regional tourney in Eugene.

The Onyx (ex-crush) girl is a very good player and only the evaluators and the OYSA staff know why she didnt make the pool this year.

The other SSC girl thats playing this year plays midfield and went to the Eugene tourney last year.

Also, if you evaluate players and probably your own daughter on whether they are putting a hurt on someone that seems pretty twisted. Maybe if this girl worked more on skills and not on "Putting a Hurt" on someone she may have made the ODP squad last year.

I believe both Crush and Ice played their last two fall league games against each other, Crush coming out on top both times.
