The freshman will have the talk with coaches about their hardships of missing home state and sick grandparent and would the coaches release them to a school that is not in their conference before s-he up and leaves burning bridges. Heck if the coaches wants to get rid of the brat they will release them with a high recommendation.

LSU starting freshman transfers to FSU. Is this true? FSU tends to ship freshmen out.

Also depends on when they get released. I know a kid who got cut at preseason camp (no athletic $ which is never a good sign to begin with). Since she wasn't on the final NCAA roster for the season and hadn't played a game she quickly transferred out to her 2nd choice (which in hind sight should have always been her first but had an unplanned opening due to serious injury). Proved herself at school #2 and got some decent athletic $ year two.

At least four freshmen transfered out of FSU in 2018 and more to come in 2019. FSU needed to replace the ones it gently let go.

The new trend: recruit in proven transfers or internationals instead of green freshman players.

Oh there's definitely some international players that are much older and have played somewhere professionally, even if really low level leagues

FSU acceptance letters have reached the mailboxes.

Florida State received nearly 57,000 first-year applications for admission to the 2019 summer and fall semesters before early notifications on Jan. 31. That’s already an 11.9 percent increase over last year’s record number of total applications received, and students still have time to apply before the final deadline on Feb. 7. 19,230 were admitted but FSU expects only 6,200 to actually enroll. On March 28th the last round of acceptance letters will be mailed.

My kid got in. Not a very good school.

About 37,000 did not get in, so far.

It is not too late to get that application in.

It is mostly the same kids from Florida who get admitted to the Big 4 -FSU, UF, UCF and USF- and they get to choose the one to accept.

Of those only one - UF - has a decent national reputation. The rest are baby sitting services for young adults.

Not so. You know USF is now a pre-eminent University. Florida has some of the top public colleges in the nation and don't look at only the rankings. Sunny weather, cheaper than in state up north, and top programs of study are bringing the northern kids down to experience a different culture.
